    PINEY FLATS - Edith Chambers Tolley, 94, Piney Flats, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Jake & Mary Birchfield Chambers. She had lived a number of years in Piney Flats. She was a homemaker. She was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Orville Earl Tolley, a son: Roy Glenn Tolley, Sr., a daughter: Peggy Willis and several brothers & sisters.

    Survivors include a daughter: Margaret Royston, Piney Flats. A son: James Dean Tolley, Piney Flats. 11 Grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Shelby Blevins, 17 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Her special friends: Bill & Lenis Baker and Kenny & Kathy Lethcoe. Several nieces & nephews.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Bradley and Rev. Steve Hilman officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in the Edgefield United Methodist Church Cemetery. Music will be provided by Kenny & Kathy Lethcoe. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday will be Tony Mullins, Jason Hershberger, Brian Milhorn, Jerry Blevins, Bob Morton, Bud Blevins, Jackie Hughes and Dexter Perkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bill Chambers, Robert Chambers, Dr. Joe Reed, Chad Tolley, Wesley Tolley and Colby Morrell.

    Edith married Orville E. Tolley about 1945 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Orville (son of Daniel Carter Tolley and Cora Bell Justice) was born about 1923 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 6 Sep 2010 in Sullivan County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Edgefield UMC Cemetery, , Sullivan County, Tennessee.     Pauline June Chambers Arnold, 79, Elizabethton passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022, with her loving children by her side. She was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late John and Effie Holtsclaw Chambers.
    Pauline retired from Denise Lingerie as a seamstress. She loved to travel, the beach and going to the Grand Ole Opry.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, and her husband, Kenneth Arnold.
    Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Terry (Taylor) Arnold and Tammy (Joe) Smithdeal; her grandchildren, Tiffany Kyviakidis, Thomas Cowan, Tara (Jason) Carden and Whitney Arnold; and her great-grandchildren, Legend Cowan and Tillie Carden. She is also survived by one brother, John Chambers.
    An entombment service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, September 18, at the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park, with the Rev. Gary Ward officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Tolley; sister, Peggy Willis; father, Orville Tolley; and her mother, Edith Tolley.

    Margaret is survived by a son, Allen Royston of Chesapeake, VA; daughter, Tammy Eggleston of Elizabethton, TN; and brother, Dean Tolley of Piney Flats, TN.

    It is hard to lose someone as special as Mom, the only comfort given is knowing God must have needed her more. Her smile and laughter will stay in our hearts forever. She expressed some words of wisdom that we would like to pass on: "LOVE ONE ANOTHER!"

    The family would like to personally thank all of the Family and Friends for all of their support as Mom or "Sis" battled her fight with Cancer. Her battle along with her worries has ended as her new life begins.

    The family has requested that a donation to the American Cancer Society c/o Lou Cooter, 415 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643 be made in lieu of flowers in the memory of Mom (Margaret Royston).
