    Notes:

    Patsy Leonard Barnette, age 83, of Johnson City entered into heavenly rest at her home on August 30, 2018 following a brief illness of metastatic cancer. She was the daughter of James Neal and Chassie Burton Leonard and younger sister to the late Madge Webster. Patsy grew up in Rogersville, Tennessee and graduated from Rogersville High School where she met her high school sweetheart, the band drum major Donald Ray Barnette. After a lengthy courtship and Don's four year stint in the Army, they married on July 2, 1960. They were later blessed with two sons. Patsy and Don were married for 57 years before Don's passing from Alzheimer's in January 2018. She and their sons were vigilant advocates for and care givers to Don throughout his illness.
    Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Donald Ray, Jr. and wife Donna of Gray, and Leonard Scott and partner Mark Stevens of Brandon, Florida; nieces Connie R. Thomas, Morristown, Nancy Kaye Manis, Rogersville, and Chassie Gilreath and husband Randy, Surgoinsville. Always loved by the Barnette family members who now mourn her passing include: Sisters-in-law Brenda F. Barnette, Johnson City, Loretta B. Murphy, Johnson City, and Brenda F. Ramage and husband John , Auburn, AL; brother-in-law Ronald D. Barnette and wife Margaret of Harlem, GA; Nephews James Barnette, Jr. of Virginia; Guerry Murphy and wife Stephanie, Knoxville, Steve Barnette, Austin, AR, nieces: Debbie Murphy, Johnson City; Tricia Young and Diana Ramage, Auburn, GA; Sindy Barnette and Shanda Lord and husband Doug, Grovetown, GA; Beth Barnette and husband Paul Knight and Brooke Barnette and husband Bradley Moore, Fishers. Indiana. Patsy held special affection for her great niece Missy Peeples and her husband Bob of Rogersville; her cousins Nina Tabor and Marian Keith, Morristown and long-time friend Linda G. Walters of Johnson City as well as many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
    The Barnette family invites all friends and family members to join them in the Sunrise Chapel as they pay tribute to Patsy's life on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Tetrick Funeral Services, Peoples Street, Johnson City, TN. Visitation will begin at noon followed by a memorial service led by David Ensminger at 2 p.m. Patsy will be laid to rest with her husband at Mountain Home National Cemetery at a later date.
