    John Dean Pritchard, age 83, of Mt. Airy, Ga., passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2018.

    Born in Heaton, NC, on April 12, 1935, John was the son of the late James Riley and Mildred Shell Pritchard. He was the owner and operator of P&P Trucking and he was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.

    In addition to his parents, Mr. Pritchard was preceded in death by wife: Carol Pickett Pritchard; Son: Robert E. Pritchard; Brother: Charles Pritchard; Sister: Elizabeth Brock.

    Survivors include Sons: Brian Edward Pritchard (Judy) of Gonzales, La., James Riley Pritchard of Mt. Airy, Ga., Joel Pritchard (Joan) of Clarkesville, Ga.; Brothers: James Harold Pritchard of Quitman, Texas and Barry Keith Pritchard of Johnson City, Tenn.; Sisters: Cynthia Kaye Pritchard of Rowlett, Texas, Joyce Marie Franklin of Johnson City, Tenn., and Deborah Rose Stites of Owensboro, Ky., as well as five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

    Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Johnson City, Tenn.

    ROAN MOUNTAIN - Mr. Charles Warren Pritchard, age 80, of Roan Mountain, TN passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at his residence. A native of Avery County, NC he was the son of the late James Riley and Mildred Shell Pritchard. Mr. Pritchard was the owner of a hardwood lumber business. He had worked previously at Bemberg Corporation and had also owned a Trucking Company in Texas. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having entered in Texas and then serving at March Air Force Base in Riverside, CA and was sent to Okinawa. He was a member of Heaton First Christian Church and was a member of the Captain Lynn H. Folsom V.F.W. Post 2166. He enjoyed learning of the local history of our area and loved feeding the deer.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Ramer Pritchard and a sister, Elizabeth Brock. Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Warren Pritchard, Johnson City; four daughters, Christina Pritchard Click, Kingsport, Anita Whitson, Gray, Channon Pritchard, Hollywood, GA and Julie Jackson, Alvin, TX; eleven grandchildren, Jerrod Pritchard, Whitney Pritchard, Landon Estep, Christopher Estep, Brittany Whitson, Justin Whitson, Kayla Sutton, Kendall Countryman, Kersi Countryman, Dustin Talley and Zowie Talley; five great-grandchildren, Briana Pritchard, Cydnee Estep, Shane Hunter, Mallory Sutton and Arabella Talley; three brothers, John Dean Pritchard, Mt. Airy, GA, James Pritchard, Quitman, TX and Barry Pritchard, Johnson City and three sisters, Cynthia Kay Pritchard, Rowlett, TX, Joyce Franklin, Johnson City and Deborah Stites, Owensboro, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    A service to honor the life of Mr. Charles Warren Pritchard will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 16, 2017 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. Paul Cole, minister officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Thursday prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jerrod Pritchard, Justin Whitson, Christopher Estep, Landon Estep, Brian Whitson and Warren Pritchard. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Jameson and Jim Hicks.

    BRUNSWICK, GA — Elizabeth Pritchard Brock, a prominent business figure and pioneering woman in Georgia manufacturing circles, died on Saturday, July 2, 2016, from complications due to progressive spranuclear palsy. She was 77.

    She was born Elizabeth Ann Pritchard on October 2, 1938, eldest daughter of the union of James Riley and Mildred Anna Pritchard of Heaton, North Carolina. She attended Elizabethton High School in Elizabethton, Tennessee, and was graduated summa cum laude from East Tennessee State University with a degree in business management. In the early 1970s, Elizabeth founded Pallets, Inc. in Gwinnett County, manufacturing specialty hardwood pallets for shipping and warehousing. She operated this business some 40 years, until failing health forced her to retire in 2012.

    As a business owner in Gwinnett County, she was active in the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and aided its growth. Elizabeth served on the executive board of directors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce for more than 30 years, shepherding the organization's growth from the Business Council of Georgia to the influential institution it is today. She was often called to testify before the Georgia General Assembly, representing the state's manufacturers. Her proudest achievement while on the board was founding, along with the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, the STAR Student program to recognize the state's brightest high school seniors and their teachers. She was the mistress of ceremonies for the state-wide STAR Student awards banquet for 19 years. She was vice-chair of the Governor's Health Strategies Council until it was adjourned. Later, she served on the board of the Lake Lanier Island Authority.

    A lifelong learner, Elizabeth earned her private pilot's license in her 50s, was a member of the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association, and served as the state president of the Georgia Pilots Association. She enjoyed volunteering with the USO and faithfully greeted soldiers flying through Atlanta's airport every Thanksgiving. A member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church since moving to Atlanta in 1970, Elizabeth served as lead usher for nearly 20 years.

    She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Elliott Ballard; seven siblings; and dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins.

    A celebration of Elizabeth Pritchard Brock's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Atlanta.

    Cynthia Kay Pritchard, age 73, formerly of Elizabethton, TN went to her heavenly home with her Father on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in Rowlett, TX.

    A native of Banner Elk, NC she was the daughter of the late James Riley Pritchard and Mildred A. Shell Pritchard. Ms. Pritchard never met a stranger, had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and have fun. She had been a barber for twenty-five years and was a member of First Christian Church in Rowlett, TX. Ms. Pritchard loved her family and her dogs. She enjoyed working in her garden, listening to E.H.S. football games on the radio and talking about her grandchildren.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Dean Pritchard and Charles Warren Pritchard; two sisters, Elizabeth Pritchard Brock and Carolyn Lee Pritchard and a special brother-in-law, O.C. Franklin. Two fur babies, Tebow and Milly also preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Michael Doss and wife Tina and Patricia Doss and husband Carl, all of Texas and Daniel Everett and wife Amanda, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren; Sophia Madaline Everett and Alexander Carter Everett, both of Elizabethton and Carrson Zaine Everett, Kingsport; brothers; James Harold Pritchard and wife Carol, Texas and Barry Keith Pritchard and wife Cynthia, Johnson City and sisters; Joyce Marie Franklin, Johnson City and Debbie Rose Stites and husband Thomas, KY. Several nieces and nephews and her fur baby, Autumn also survive.

    The family will receive friends on Monday, May 13, 2019 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Service from 11:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. The graveside service to honor the life of Cynthia Kay Pritchard will follow the visitation in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. James Harold Pritchard officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
