    BUTLER — Verda Graybeal, age 73, of Butler, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

    She was born on November 20, 1942, daughter of the late Fred and Lona Stout Elliott.

    In addition to her parents, Verda was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Graybeal, who passed March 11, 2010 and her sister, Betty Phillips.

    Verda was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved visiting and spending time with neighbors and friends. Verda loved summertime, raising a vegetable garden and growing beautiful flowers. She was adored by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

    Verda was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

    Her memory and life will be cherished by her husband and best friend, Bobby Graybeal; son, Tommy Tolley; brother, Earnest and Constance Elliott; sister, Mary Shepherd; step sister, Mary Jane Sexton and husband Joe; daughter-in-law and mother of Verda's grandchildren, Angie Perry Graybeal; grandchildren, Shonae Graybeal and Hunter Graybeal; nieces, Joni Shepherd, Lori Deloach and Gloria South; nephews, Marty Elliott and Barry Elliott; many more special nieces and nephews and many, many special friends.

    The family will receive friends from 3 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at the Rock Springs Baptist Church with the service following at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Harvey White officiating.

    Interment will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest by her son, Tim.
