    James M. McKeehan, 77, 2113 Gap Creek Road, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
    Mr. McKeehan was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Luther Clyde and Bertha Dugger McKeehan, and a stepson of the late Laura Sims McKeehan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Cozette Sanders McKeehan, in 1979, and a brother, Basil McKeehan.
    Mr. McKeehan was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church.
    Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Larry Lane, Johnson City; five sisters, Ruth Gouge, Johnson City, Joyce Pickering, Gray, Charlotte McKeehan and Geraldine McKeehan, both of Elizabethton, and Lois Willette, Fairhope, Ala.; three brothers, Edwin McKeehan, Roswell, Ga., Luther McKeehan and Donald McKeehan, both of Elizabethton; and a grandson and his wife, Chad and Nancy Lane, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

    McKEEHAN -- Funeral services for James M. McKeehan, 77, 2113 Gap Creek Road, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. C.W. Snodgrass and the Rev. Harold Campbell officiating. Music will be provided by the church choir, Steve Vannoy and Audrey Taylor. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the church at 7:50 p.m. Thursday and also at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday, will be Clyde Hodge, Chet Bageant, Richard Loveless, Darrell Bowers, Audrey Taylor, Stewart Blackburn, Steve Vannoy and Ray Loveless. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Hyder, Bill Davis, The Praying Mountain Men, the Adult Men's Sunday School Class of Zion Baptist Church, Dr. Jerry Gastineau, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Zion Baptist Church. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

    James married Cozette Lovelace on 5 Nov 1944 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Cozette (daughter of Roscoe F. Lovelace and Eliza Hardin) was born on 26 Oct 1923 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died in Aug 1979 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Happy Valley Memorial Park, , Carter County, Tennessee.     JOHNSON CITY - Judy Ann McKeehan Lane, 69, Johnson City passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 in the Johnson City Medical Center.

    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late James & Cozette Loveless McKeehan. She was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. She was retired as a receiving manager at Wal-Mart, Johnson City after 27 years of service. Prior to that she was a beautician. Judy was a member of Zion Baptist Church but attended Little Mountain Baptist Church.

    Survivors include her husband of 52 years: Larry Lane. A Son & Daughter-in-Law: Chad & Courteney Lane, Johnson City. Several Aunts & Uncles. Her sister-in-law: Doris Jenkins, brother-in-law: Paul Lane.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Larry Montgomery and Rev. Paul Lane officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Monday, will be: Lester Brumit, Travis Brumit, Ricky Woodby, Jr., Greg Gouge, Andrew McKeehan and Steve Franklin. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Luther McKeehan, Richard Loveless, Ray Loveless, Ricky Woodby, Sr., and Randall Babb.
