    Mary Francis "Frankie" Smith, 70, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Ripley. She was born May 31, 1941, to Leonard DeLoach and Hattie Reynolds DeLoach. Mrs. Smith was a member of West Ripley Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4181 and president of the Ladies Auxiliary for several years.

    Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Mark Lindley officiating. Burial will be in Chapman Cemetery.

    She is survived by her husband, Perry Smith of Ripley; two daughters, Teres'sa C. Smith Ellzey (Richard) of Ellisville and Lettie O. Smith Hopkins (Tommy) of Blue Mountain; two sisters, Annie Whatley of North Augusta, S.C., and Melba Detcheler of Winfield, Ga.; one brother, Charles DeLoach of Athens, Ga.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters and four brothers.
