    Orden Carl Lovelace, 77, 146 Webb Hollow Loop, Elizabethton, died Firday, January 7, 2000, at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center following an extended illness.

    Mr. Lovelace was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Thomas and Carrie Russell Lovelace. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lovelace, November 23, 1998; two sisters, Juanita Lovelace and Pearl Hardin; two brothers, Harold and Noah Lovelace.

    Mr. Lovelace was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation.

    Survivors include a daughter, Pat Colbaugh of Elizabethton; sister, Pauline Lewis of Deltona, FL; six brothers, John, Allen and Ed Lovelace, all of Elizabethton, Clinton Lovelace of Johnson City, Glen Lovelace of Detroit, Mich., and Thomas Lovelace of Hampton; granddaughter, Karla (Larry) Bowers of Sevierville; grandson, Robert Colbaugh of Elizabethton; and a great-grandson, Matthew Bowers of Sevierville; and many nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery in Elizabethton.

    Pallbearers will be selected from his nephews.

    Orden married Helen Lorine Davis on 5 Dec 1941 in Carter County, , , Tennessee.     ELIZABETHTON — Maynard Gale "Speck" Lovelace, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 27, 2016, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

    He was a retired payroll supervisor from North American Rayon Corporation after 37 years of service. He loved to play golf, sing gospel hymns, and spend time with his grandchildren. He was long-time member of Beck Mountain Baptist Church where he was the Men's Class Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir, and served as a Trustee and Choir Leader. He previously served as a board member for Happy Valley Credit Union.

    He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Valarie Suzette Lovelace; his parents, Harold and Pauline Lovelace; and a sister, Charlene Harmon Houstma.

    Survivors include his wife of 55 years and his principal caregiver, Emily Lovelace; his son, Wesley Lovelace and wife Tracy of Southside, Alabama; his daughter, Cindy Cox and husband Sid of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Chelsie Cox, Courtney Cox Winters and husband Martin, of Elizabethton; Austin Lovelace and Hayley Lovelace of Southside, Alabama; brothers, Charles Lovelace, Terry Lovelace and Randy Lovelace; sisters, Doris Colbaugh, Wilma Colbaugh and Paula Berry; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful, four legged companion, Marlie "Poo Dog".

    The family will receive friends during a graveside remembrance service to be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton, with Pastor Ronnie Campbell officiating. A procession to the graveside services will begin at 3:15 PM from Tetrick Funeral Home Riverside Chapel, Elizabethton. Friends may also call or visit at other times at the home in Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be, Wesley Lovelace, Sid Cox, Austin Lovelace, John Pierce, Eddie Sams, Martin Winters, Jeff Harmon, and Jordan Lambert.     LEXINGTON, N.C. — Charles Thomas Lovelace, 74, of Kingsport, Tenn., entered into the victorious realm of Heaven during the late evening hours on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Charles was born on February 8, 1943 in Elizabethton, Tenn., to the late Harold Lovelace and the late Pauline Pierce Lovelace. Charles married Ms. Patricia "Pat" Howington and after 52 years of beautiful life together and raising a family, she preceded him in death on October 17, 2014.
    Charles was a man who loved the Lord and loved his family. Charles worked as a welder; but more importantly, he was the pastor of Feathers Chapel in Blountville, Tenn., for many years. Charles enjoyed the outdoors and he was a huge lover of dogs. He has left a legacy that will continue to live on through the lives of his loved ones and friends.
    Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his cherished wife, Pat Lovelace.
    He is survived by his children, Triscilla Hill and husband Tony, Chuck Lovelace and wife Jane, Tim Lovelace and wife Tracie, Trina Golden and husband Michael, Chris Lovelace, and Robert Lovelace and wife Summer; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, from 12 until 2 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Fleenor officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Charles' sons and sons-in-law.

    Randy Jeff “Razzo” Lovelace, 66, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
    A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Harold and Carrie Pauline Pierce Lovelace. He was a 1972 graduate of Hampton High School.
    Razzo was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Carrier. He was of the Baptist Faith.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Colbaugh, Charlene Harmon and Wilma Colbaugh, and two brothers, Charles “Doodle” Lovelace and Maynard Gale “Speck” Lovelace.
    Survivors include four children, Miranda Lovelace, Matthew (Rebecca) Lovelace, Randi (Brian) Teaster and Travis (Megan) Jack; one brother, Terry “Rat” (Ruthie) Lovelace; one sister, Paula Berry; his grandchildren, Ryan Peterson, Lydia Lovelace, Jonah Love, Ethan and Weston Teaster, London and Camden Lovelace and Bodie Jack; and several nieces and nephews.
    The graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Joseph Colbaugh officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Mark Colbaugh, Brian Teaster, Ethan Teaster, Nathan Morgan, Jeff Harmon and Terry Lovelace. Honorary pallbearers will be Jody Combs and members and former members of the U.S. Post Office.

    She was the daughter of the late John and Effie Timbs Lovelace and was also preceded in death by an infant sister. She was a member of Southside Christian Church. Jean was a 1956 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She worked in many areas of the health care field including as an activities director and CNA. She loved being with her church family and reading the bible.

    Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Lisa Ensor and husband Ronnie and their son Bayley of Elizabethton, Tn; son Tim Bautista and wife Shyenti and children Lauren and Richard of Trussville, Al. Two sisters: Sonia Walker of Elizabethton and Elizabeth Kulka of Chesterfield, Michigan. Two brothers: Johnny Lovelace and Jackie Lovelace both of Elizabethton. Survivors also include several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Mike Koruschak, officiating. Charles Dugger will be providing music. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. will be selected from the men of Southside Christian Church. Visitation will precede the service from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Graveside Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 in Happy Valley Memorial Park.

    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John and Effie Timbs Lovelace.
    Sonia was an active member of Doe River Baptist Church. She loved being around her grandchildren and in earlier years she loved working in her flowers.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Billy “Bob” Walker; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Lovelace and Jean Bautista; and a brother, Jacky Lovelace.
    Survivors include her children, Rick (Betty) Walker, Vickie Walker Cable and Jackie Walker (Doug) Markland, all of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Travis Walker, Brandi Markland (Tommy) Oliver and Mandi Markland, all of Elizabethton; one great-granddaughter, Thea Jane Oliver; her extended family she loved as her own, Hannah Norris and Bud Adkins; a brother, Johnny Lovelace, Elizabethton; a sister, Elizabeth “Babe” Kulka, Chesterfield, Mich.; her special friends, Cookie Lovelace, Anita Vestal, Elwood and Beulah Duvall, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 3, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carl Grindstaff officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 4, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:20 p.m. Friday, will be Laken Barnett, Matthew Erickson, Doug Markland, Bud Adkins, Tommy Oliver and Jack Wilson.

    Pasty Carol Lovelace Johnson, 71, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at her residence, following a brief illness. Patsy was born in Elizabethton to the late Orden and Helen Davis Lovelace.
    Patsy retired from General Shale Products in the Human Resources Department. She was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church and volunteered with Hales Ministries of Elizabethton. Patsy enjoyed reading and traveling.
    Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Gary L. Johnson, of the home; a son, Robert C. Colbaugh and wife Carole of Johnson City; a daughter, Karla R. Bowers of Kodak, Tenn.; a step-daughter, Shana Christine Johnson of Elizabethton; and two grandchildren, Matthew R. Bowers and Clayton Burton.
    A celebration of life service for Patsy Carol Johnson will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 22, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Scott Thompson officiating.

    JOHNSON CITY - Benny Allen Lovelace, age 66, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Lovelace was the son of the late Clinton Ray and Elsie Lee Campbell Lovelace. In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Lovelace, and a nephew, Adam Culbert. He was of the Baptist faith.

    Benny was a fun loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a kind hearted and loving man who never held a grudge against anyone. His passions in life were many, but none were as important to him as his family. Benny was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Shirley Lovelace, and was a wonderful father and grandfather. Mr. Lovelace was the owner of Cherokee Metals, and prior to that was a former employee of Allied Metals. He loved working on cars and watching NASCAR, and had also found great enjoyment in deer hunting. He had a true love for bass fishing and was a member of several fishing clubs. Most knew him as a jokester who loved to tease his friends.

    In addition to his wife, Benny is survived by a son, Jimmy Allen Lovelace and his wife, Ashley, and their daughter, Ryleigh, of Johnson City; four daughters: Laura Rutherford and her husband, Joseph, and their children, Joseph, Jr., Kristina-Marie, Michael, and Sean, of Norton, OH, Kim Oliver and her husband, David, and their children, Jordan, Kayli, and Koby, of Springfield, TN, Sherry Arnett and her husband, Josh, and their daughter, Addison, of Warner Robins, GA, and Tracy McGuire and her husband, Todd, and their children, Camden, Cayden, and Colten, of Jonesborough. Survivors also include 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Lovelace, Jonesborough; a sister, Paula Richards, Johnson City; his uncle, J.C. Campbell and his wife, Jeanette, Roan Mountain; his step-mother, Thelma Lovelace, Johnson City; a special sister-in-law, Sheila Culbert and Kevin Shaw, Jonesborough; a brother-in-law, John Elrod, Johnson City; nieces, Amy Elrod, Autumn Carter, Elizabeth Lovelace, and Karen Jo Matherly; nephews, Zach and Clint Lovelace; great-niece and great-nephew, Haley and Isaiah Elrod; and his loving companions, his dogs, Corben and Chloe.

    The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the ICU Dept. of the JCMC, and all his many special friends that were more like a brother to him including, but most certainly not limited to, Johnny Johnson, Donnie Davis, Billy Jack Cowan, and Gerald Jones.

    A Celebration of Life service for Benny Lovelace will be conducted at 6:00 PM Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the chapel of Tribute Funeral and Cremation Services. The service will be officiated by his family and friends.

    Mr. Lovelace was a native of Carter County. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lovelace Sr., and his mother, Mary "Madge" Dickenson Lovelace of Elizabethton, and a brother-in-law, Harry Carr, of Hampton.
    He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lovelace, of the home; a daughter, April Lovelace and long-term boyfriend, Darrell Gosnell, of Flag Pond; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Tara Franklin, of Kingsport; two grandsons, Trever and Taylor Hamilton; a granddaughter, Olivia Pugh; and two sisters, Brenda and husband Larry Peters Sr., of Stoney Creek, and Pamela Carr, of Hampton. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and special "fur children," Lilly and Baby Cat, also survive.
    Edward served his country in the Army as a Military Policeman. He worked for 20 years at Fort Henry Mall as a security guard and finally as Chief of Operations and Security, before leaving. He worked several other security jobs including armed security, Target, First Tennessee Bank, Johnson City Juvenile Detention Center and Holston Valley Hospital before becoming disabled and having to retire in 2014. He was also a Security Trainer throughout his career.
    Mr. Lovelace had a love of music and guitar, teaching himself how to play. He was a great lover and advocate of animals. Edward had a passion for cooking, gardening, riding motorcycles and fishing. He was also a member and supporter of the Lions Club for many years.
    The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Heart Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center for the care and compassion they have shown through this difficult time.     Big Stone Gap, VA, Timothy Wayne Lovelace, 51, passed away on Sunday (Dec. 24, 2017) at Lonesome Pine Hospital.
    He was born in Elizabethton, Tenn. and lived most of his adult life in Big Stone Gap. He proudly served as a Petroleum Supply Specialist with the 101st Airborne Division of the U. S. Army. He was of Baptist faith.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Thomas “Charlie” Lovelace and Patricia Ann (Howington) Lovelace.
    Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Tracie Wheatley Lovelace; three daughters, Karlee Lovelace, Kaylee Lovelace and Meghan Lovelace, all of the home; three brothers, Charles T. “Chuck” Lovelace, Christopher “Chris” Lovelace and Robert Lovelace, all of Kingsport, TN; two sisters, Triscilla Hill (Tony) of Lexington, N. C. and Trina Lovelace-Golden (Michael) of Lake Jackson, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
    Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Administration Cemetery at Mountain Home, Tenn. with local American Legion Honor Guard from Kingsport, Tenn. and Gate City, Va.
