    ELIZABETHTON — Maynard Gale "Speck" Lovelace, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 27, 2016, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

    He was a retired payroll supervisor from North American Rayon Corporation after 37 years of service. He loved to play golf, sing gospel hymns, and spend time with his grandchildren. He was long-time member of Beck Mountain Baptist Church where he was the Men's Class Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir, and served as a Trustee and Choir Leader. He previously served as a board member for Happy Valley Credit Union.

    He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Valarie Suzette Lovelace; his parents, Harold and Pauline Lovelace; and a sister, Charlene Harmon Houstma.

    Survivors include his wife of 55 years and his principal caregiver, Emily Lovelace; his son, Wesley Lovelace and wife Tracy of Southside, Alabama; his daughter, Cindy Cox and husband Sid of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Chelsie Cox, Courtney Cox Winters and husband Martin, of Elizabethton; Austin Lovelace and Hayley Lovelace of Southside, Alabama; brothers, Charles Lovelace, Terry Lovelace and Randy Lovelace; sisters, Doris Colbaugh, Wilma Colbaugh and Paula Berry; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful, four legged companion, Marlie "Poo Dog".

    The family will receive friends during a graveside remembrance service to be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton, with Pastor Ronnie Campbell officiating. A procession to the graveside services will begin at 3:15 PM from Tetrick Funeral Home Riverside Chapel, Elizabethton. Friends may also call or visit at other times at the home in Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be, Wesley Lovelace, Sid Cox, Austin Lovelace, John Pierce, Eddie Sams, Martin Winters, Jeff Harmon, and Jordan Lambert. Honorary pallbearers will be the congregation of Beck Mountain Baptist Church, the staff of Adult Day Services of Johnson City, Dennis Cox, Tim Cox, Geddie Monroe, Mike Taylor, Garry Edwards and Dr. Steven Kimbrough.

    LEXINGTON, N.C. — Charles Thomas Lovelace, 74, of Kingsport, Tenn., entered into the victorious realm of Heaven during the late evening hours on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Charles was born on February 8, 1943 in Elizabethton, Tenn., to the late Harold Lovelace and the late Pauline Pierce Lovelace. Charles married Ms. Patricia "Pat" Howington and after 52 years of beautiful life together and raising a family, she preceded him in death on October 17, 2014.
    Charles was a man who loved the Lord and loved his family. Charles worked as a welder; but more importantly, he was the pastor of Feathers Chapel in Blountville, Tenn., for many years. Charles enjoyed the outdoors and he was a huge lover of dogs. He has left a legacy that will continue to live on through the lives of his loved ones and friends.
    Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his cherished wife, Pat Lovelace.
    He is survived by his children, Triscilla Hill and husband Tony, Chuck Lovelace and wife Jane, Tim Lovelace and wife Tracie, Trina Golden and husband Michael, Chris Lovelace, and Robert Lovelace and wife Summer; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, from 12 until 2 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Fleenor officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Charles' sons and sons-in-law.

    Randy Jeff “Razzo” Lovelace, 66, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
    A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Harold and Carrie Pauline Pierce Lovelace. He was a 1972 graduate of Hampton High School.
    Razzo was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Carrier. He was of the Baptist Faith.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Colbaugh, Charlene Harmon and Wilma Colbaugh, and two brothers, Charles “Doodle” Lovelace and Maynard Gale “Speck” Lovelace.
    Survivors include four children, Miranda Lovelace, Matthew (Rebecca) Lovelace, Randi (Brian) Teaster and Travis (Megan) Jack; one brother, Terry “Rat” (Ruthie) Lovelace; one sister, Paula Berry; his grandchildren, Ryan Peterson, Lydia Lovelace, Jonah Love, Ethan and Weston Teaster, London and Camden Lovelace and Bodie Jack; and several nieces and nephews.
    The graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Joseph Colbaugh officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Mark Colbaugh, Brian Teaster, Ethan Teaster, Nathan Morgan, Jeff Harmon and Terry Lovelace. Honorary pallbearers will be Jody Combs and members and former members of the U.S. Post Office.

    He was born in Elizabethton, Tenn. and lived most of his adult life in Big Stone Gap. He proudly served as a Petroleum Supply Specialist with the 101st Airborne Division of the U. S. Army. He was of Baptist faith.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Thomas “Charlie” Lovelace and Patricia Ann (Howington) Lovelace.
    Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Tracie Wheatley Lovelace; three daughters, Karlee Lovelace, Kaylee Lovelace and Meghan Lovelace, all of the home; three brothers, Charles T. “Chuck” Lovelace, Christopher “Chris” Lovelace and Robert Lovelace, all of Kingsport, TN; two sisters, Triscilla Hill (Tony) of Lexington, N. C. and Trina Lovelace-Golden (Michael) of Lake Jackson, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
    Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Administration Cemetery at Mountain Home, Tenn. with local American Legion Honor Guard from Kingsport, Tenn. and Gate City, Va.
