    HAMPTON — Aillen Woodby McKinney, 90, Hampton, went to be with the Lord and her husband on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at her residence.

    Aileen was born in Relief, North Carolina the daughter of the late Oscar & Lydia Miller Woodby. She had lived in Carter County for 80 years.

    She was an active member of the Simerly Creek Believers Fellowship Church.

    Aillen was a retired employee of Hillview Nursing Home after 36 years of service.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Byrl McKinney; three brothers, Emmert, Hayes and Clayton Woodby; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon McKinney.

    Survivors include her children, daughter & son-in-law, Sharon Emmett and husband Larry, Elizabethton; son, Larry McKinney and Fran Weddle, Hampton and son & daughter-in-law, Sam McKinney and wife Patricia, Hampton. One Grandson: Todd McKinney. Two Granddaughters: Julie and husband Vaughn Simerly, Jr., Hampton, and Lori Watson and husband Ben, Elizabethton. Two Great Grandchildren: Justin Simerly, Hampton, and Loren Watson, Elizabethton. Sisters: Avenell Arnett, Jean & Rev. Clarence Phillip, Hampton. Brothers: Conley & Mary Sue Woodby, Van & Ray Woodby, Ken & Linda Woodby, Dennis Woodby and Alvin & Sue Woodby all of Hampton. Sister-in-law, Lennie Woodby, Hampton. Two very special nephews: Randy Woodby, Birmingham, Alabama and Kelvin Woodby, Knoxville. Special Friend Janice McKinney.

    Funeral Service will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Holtsclaw and Rev. B.F. McKinney, Jr. officiating.

    Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015, in McKinney Cemetery. Music will be by the Simerly Creek Believers Fellowship Church Quartet.

    Active Pallbearers, who are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery, are: Todd McKinney, Vaughn Simerly, Jr., Justin Simerly, Ben Watson, Joe Bagby, Ed Morton and David Holtsclaw. Honorary Pall Bearers are: Kinnie McKinney, John L McKinney, Mike Teague, Dannie McKinney, Ed Simerly, Steve Holtsclaw, David Stevens, Steve Forrester, Barney McKinney, and her church Family, Friends and Neighbors.

    HAMPTON, TN - Conley Woodby, 89, Hampton, September 13, 2021 went home to be with his Lord, and be reunited with Mary Sue Woodby, his wife of 68 years, who preceded him in death, August 11, 2020. He was the son of the late Oscar & Lydia Miller Woodby. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Hayes, Emmett and Clayton Woodby and sisters: Avanell Arnett and Aileen McKinney. Con was an avid bear hunter, he loved being in the woods with his friends. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

    Survivors include: Daughter: Katherine (David) Nidiffer, Sons: Bruce (Evelyn) Woodby, Terry Woodby, Jim Woodby and James Woodby. Grandchildren: Connie Rose, Cindy Nidiffer, Johnny Nidiffer, Julie Woodby, Priscilla Broyles, Bruce Conley Woodby, Jessica Woodby, Tiffany Woodby Josh Woodby and several great grandchildren. Siblings; Almagene Phillips, Dennis Woodby, Ken (Linda) Woodby, Van Woodby and Alvin (Sue) Woodby.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Memomrial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Terry Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodby Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Grandsons.

    Conley married Mary Sue Gentry on 14 Jul 1952 in Unicoi County, , , Tennessee. Mary (daughter of Arthur Alexander Gentry and Ruby Pearl Fox) was born about 1936 in Unicoi County, , , Tennessee; died about 1969 in Washington County, , , Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
