    Mr. Warren D. "Sput" Taylor, age 58, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
    A native of Elizabethton, he was the son of Fannie Timbs Taylor, Elizabethton, and the late Warren G. Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a quality control compliance technician with Bristol Metals. He was a member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church, a member of the Watauga Association of Genealogy and a member of the American Society of Quality Control (A.S.Q.C.).
    In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Lisa Taylor, of the home; two daughters, Brittney Grabiel and husband, Chris, Gallatin, TN, and Jennifer Arnold and husband, Mike, Gray, TN; two granddaughters, Taylor Grabiel and Addison Arnold; a grandson, Silas Grabiel; and a sister, Mary Grindstaff, Elizabethton. Several brothersinlaw, sistersinlaw, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
    Sput and Lisa were married for 37 years. Sput was saved and baptized in 1979. He had a passion for life, a winning smile, and was always quick to lend a helping hand to others.
    A service to honor the life of Mr. Warren D. "Sput" Taylor will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, April 13, 2015, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. David Foster officiating.
    The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:007:00 P.M. on Monday prior to the service or at the residence at any time. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in the Taylor Cemetery (Rome Hollow). Active pallbearers will be Phil Dishner, Will Taylor, Tommy Deyton, Collin Stover, Jackie Peters and John E. Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers include the members of Stoney Creek Baptist Church, neighbors, and the members of the Watauga Association of Genealogy. Special friends include Dawn Peters, Dave Gallagher, Tony Love, Zack Trumbo, Bo Musselwhite, Robbie and Tammy Baines and so many others. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 A.M. on Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
