    Winnie Arnold, 96, 1717 Miami Drive, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008, at her residence.

    A native of Butler, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late L.L. Smith and Victoria Matheson Smith.

    Mrs. Arnold was a member of King Springs Baptist Church and Little Milligan Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Home League of the Salvation Army and the Johnson City Senior Center. She was a homemaker.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Arney McFall; second husband, Eugene Arnold; children, Kenneth Fred McFall, William "Bill" McFall, Bobby Eugene Arnold and Sylvia Miller.

    Survivors include her sons, Roy Wagner, Ronnie McFall and Jerry McFall; daughters, Pearl Atwood, Kate Eldreth, Vella Ward and Frances Richardson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special friends, Dorothy Perry, Anna Lee Shell and Myrtle Miller.

    The funeral service for Mrs. Arnold will be conducted at 2:30 PM Saturday, April 26, 2008, from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Cornett and Rev. Nick Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    Winnie married Wiley Kemp Wagner about 1929. Wiley (son of Roby C.     Roy J. Wagner, 91, of Butler, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. Roy was born in Johnson City, Tenn., to the late Kemp and Winnie Smith Wagner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill McFall, Fred McFall, Jerry McFall and Ronnie McFall; three step-sisters; one step-brother, Bobby Arnold; and three grandsons.
    Roy was a man of few words, but was a hard worker and loved serving his country in the United States Army. He served in the Army for three years, then retired from Inland Container Corporation. Roy was a member of Little Milligan Baptist Church since 1976. He enjoyed working in the garden, spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Roy also loved the Redskins.
    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 70 years, June Wagner of Butler; his daughter, Judy Peters of Elizabethton; his son, Michael Wagner and friend, Lisa Champagne; his grandson, Matthew Wagner and girlfriend, Courtnie McKinney; and two step-sisters, Kate and Pearl. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    A graveside service to honor the life of Roy J. Wagner will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 7, in the Lakeview Cemetery in Butler with Pastor Sammy Icenhour officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends

    Jerry was the son of the late Arney Arlen and Winnie Ruth Smith McFall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Fred and Ronnie McFall; step-brother Bobby Arnold and step-sisters Frances and Sylvia.

    He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

    He retired as the sales representative of Sara Lee Bakery.

    Jerry loved being with his family, grandkids, and loved spending time outdoors.

    The funeral service was conducted Monday, December 7, 2015, at 7PM in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home. The family received friends Monday evening from 5PM-7PM. The graveside committal service with military honors were conducted Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 11AM at Monte Vista Memorial Park.

    JOHNSON CITY - Beverly Maupin, 58, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Fred McFall and Lillian Byers McFall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Carly Maupin; one great granddaughter, Oaklee Cook; one sister, Abbie Ferguson; her father-in-law, Cecil Maupin; and one nephew, Joshua Maupin.

    Beverly was a homemaker and was a member of Kingsprings Baptist Church. She was better known as Mimi to her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She was an avid University of Tennessee Football fan.

    She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 40 years, Jimmy Maupin; two daughters, Tara Shepherd, and Laura Maupin Brummitt and husband Kenneth; five grandchildren, Lily Shepherd, Lainey Shepherd, Brylee Brummitt, Kinsley Brummitt, and Kendall Brummitt; one brother, Arlan McFall; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Nancy Estep and husband Ed, and Amy Mosier and husband Ricky; mother-in-law, Barbara Maupin; and several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends Monday, October 24, 2022 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 7:00PM with Pastor Mark Street officiating. Committal Service and Interment will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 10:00AM in the Garden of the Last Supper at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
