    COOKEVILLE- Funeral services for Jessie Dayton Teague, 80, of Cookeville will be held Friday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Brother Eugene McCowan will officiate.

    Mr. Teague died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998 at Masters Health Care Center in Algood.

    He was born March 30, 1918 in Johnson City to the late Oscar Lee and Laura Mae Sammons Teague. He was a retired maintenance man and a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII.

    His family includes daughter Helen Ball of Cookeville; son Harry Teague of Middletown, Ohio; two step daughters, Diane Koss of Canton, Mich., and Bevery Siekierka of Garden City, Mich.; three granddaughters, Tammy Bass of Cookeville, Raylene Daniels of Nashville, and Tina Teague of New York City, New York.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Davis Teague.

    Jasper James "Jake" Teague, 82, Blountville, Tennessee passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 in the Bristol Regional Hospital.
    He was born on September 18, 1932 in the Happy Valley Section of Carter County the youngest child of Oscar Lee & Laura Mae Sammons Teague.
    He was a graduate of Mary Hughes High School, Piney Flats. He was a retired Staff Sgt. From the Missile Command of the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran.
    He moved from St. Matthews, South Carolina to Blountville last July. He was of the Free Will Baptist Faith.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Verna Grace Dykes and Tina Nelma Woods both of Johnson City and his brothers: Jesse Dayton Teague of Livonia, Michigan, Everette Kyle Teague, Johnson City, Albert Brice Teague of Cleveland, Ohio and Orville Curtis Teague of Taylor, Michigan.
    He is survived by one sister-in-law: Kate Teague of Johnson City and a host of nieces & nephews.
    Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Greer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain Home National Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.
    The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Military Honors will be provided by the Tennessee National Guard.
