    Billy Glen Johnson, 79, Roan Mountain, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Franklin Woods Hospital.
    A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Bill E. and Daisy Oxendine Johnson.
    Bill’s occupation was auto repair. He was owner of Johnson-Roan View Cemetery. He loved cars and motorcycles. He was of the Free Will Baptist Faith.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Powell Johnson, who passed away October 13, 2021; a brother, Charlie Johnson; and his daughter-in-law, Carmelita Johnson.
    Survivors include his sons, Jack and Johnny Johnson; six grandchildren, B.J. Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Dakota Johnson, Payton Johnson, Madelyn Johnson and Madison Johnson; two great-granddaughters, Lilly Bea Johnson and Birdy Jane Johnson; and one brother, Pete Johnson.
    A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6, in the Johnson Roan-View Cemetery with Pastor Randy English officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Rick Miller, Danny Street, Nick Johnson, Dakota Johnson and B.J. Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Johnson, Jason Johnson and his many friends.
