    Notes:

    Teddy 'Ted' Wallace, age 72, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 17, 2015, at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.

    He was born on January 14, 1943 in Shady Valley to the late Alex Wallace and Helen Eller Wallace.

    In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Odell Wallace.

    Ted loved hunting and fishing with the boys and arrowhead hunting with his daughter. He did all kinds of work throughout his life, including turbine generator maintenance, car body repair, sawmill and machine shop. Ted also loved being outdoors and working in his garden.

    He was a member of Shady Valley Church of Christ.

    Ted is survived by his wife and best friend of 50 years, Brenda Neal Wallace; children, Melanie Simpson and husband Rob, Tom Wallace and friend Connie Hillard, Jamie Wallace and wife Maureen; sisters, Katie Cornett and husband John, Judy Watson, Shirley Mains, Betty Watson and husband Herman; brothers, Jim Wallace, Bill Wallace and Dan Wallace; grandchildren, Nick Wallace, Dusty Wallace, Rusty Wallace and friend Kristen Arbaugh, Nathan Daniel, Megan Jackson and husband Jimmy, Hannah Carbaugh and Dakota Carbaugh; great grandchildren, Emmalyn Wallace and Jimmy Jackson; several nieces and nephews and many special friends and neighbors.

    The family will receive friends from 5 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at the Crandull Church of Christ with the funeral service following at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Tracey Dugger and Wesley Simons officiating.

    There will be no graveside service as it was Ted's wishes to be cremated.

    Melanie lovingly describes her father as a devoted and loving husband of 50 years, and a devoted and loving father and grandfather. He was someone who never met a stranger and was loved by all.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
