ELIZABETHTON — Mr. James Edward Cretsinger, age 72, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family following a battle with cancer.

James was a native of Elizabethton and son of the late Lester Fagan Cretsinger and Laura Bingham Cretsinger Manning.

He retired after 30 years with Kiser Supply of Bluff City as a salesman. After retirement, James could be found on his motorcycle or with family and friends.

James is survived by his daughter, Angela Ritenour and three grandchildren, Cory, Leah, and Abby, all of the home.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015, 6:30 PM, at Boones Creek Christian Church with Pastor David Clark officiating.

His remains will be spread on the Blue Ridge Parkway at a later date.
