ROAN MOUNTAIN — William Frank Holden, 72, Roan Mountain passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 in the Roan Highlands Nursing Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Levi & Grace Winters Holden. He was a farmer & carpenter. He was a member of Morgan Branch Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by an Uncle Frank Winters.
Survivors include several cousins. His very special friend Odell Shell. Also his very special friends and neighbors.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 in the Perkins Cemetery, Upper Shell Creek with the Rev. John McCoury officiating. Burial will follow the service.
Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday will be: Will Hughes, Patrick Guyn, Larry Shell, Richard Winters, Rick Shell, Lonnie Clark, Chad Clark, Eddie Odom, Jim Strickland, Delaney Berry and Danny Black.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Odell Shell and Jack Shoemaker.
Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday.
