    Samuel Monroe Dugger, 100, of 2232 Unity Street, Ft. Myers, Florida, and formerly of Taylor County, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1980 in Florida. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, six daughters, eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Vilas, North Carolina with the Rev. Clyde Cornett officiating. Interment followed in the Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.

    Survivors include her husband of 72 years: Carl Estep. Three Children: Edward Dean Estep and wife Sherry, Kingsport, Sue Tinker and Kathy Ensor and husband Ernest all of Elizabethton. Five Grandchildren: Jamie Carpenter and husband Brad, Beth Estep, Mark Estep and fiancée Angelia, Renee Ensor and Jason Ensor and fiancé' Lindsey Bartee. Two Great Grandchildren: David & Jacob.     Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Bewley and Pastor Billy Merritt officiating.

    Mr. Greene was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church, Chairman of the Deacon Board, choir director, and he sang soprano for the Sugar Grove Quartet for 40 years. He was an Army veteran and retired from Burlington Industries in 1986. He was a farmer and loved gardening.

    Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ola Mae Greene; one daughter, Lois Greene and husband, Kenneth, of Vilas, N.C.; one son, Arthur Greene and wife, Daphne, and one grandson, Timothy Greene and wife, Laura, all of Butler, Tenn.; three brothers, John David Greene and wife, Betty Lou; and Roy Greene and Bobby Greene; and one sister, Loetta Bright, all of Butler, Tenn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles S. Greene and Tina Dugger Greene.

    Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, from Sugar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Greene, the Rev. Doug Ranshaw and the Rev. Ray Sorrels officiating. Music was provided by Sugar Grove Choir and Willow Valley Choir.

    Graveside service and interment followed at the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

    John David was born in Bakersville, North Carolina to the late Charles Spurgon and Tina Dugger Greene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Darrell Greene and Roy Greene and two grandsons, Keith Smith and Freddie Greene.

    John David lived most of his life in Johnson County, Tennessee where he worked as a farmer, carpenter and logger. He loved being outdoors with his dogs. John David enjoyed the company of family and friends and discussing the Bible with them. He loved his church, Hope Christian Fellowship and all its members. He knew his Bible and loved talking about it and God's love.

    John David was a United States Navy Veteran.

    Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Lou McCloud Greene, two sons, David Greene and wife Debbie and Dennis Greene and significant other, Mandy Garland, daughters, Dolores Stovall and Denise Embree Whitney and husband Scott; grandchildren, Kristy Smith, Shane Greene, Miranda Shell, Amanda Burleson, Zachary Greene, Seth Embree, Sean Embree, adopted grandchildren, Candy McNab and Carrie Brown, great grandchildren, Jordan Isaacs, Jake Isaacs, Casen Shell, Conor Burleson and Carson Burleson, step grandchildren, Chris Pennington, Cindy Kern, Mindy Phillips, Michael Pennington, Ian Whitney and Kaci Whitney, step great grandchildren, Chance, Laken, Brooks and Braxton Phillips, Cassidy Kern, Logan Whitney and Aubrey Whitney, sister, Loetta Bright, brother, Bob Green, several nieces and nephews.

She worked at the former Carter County Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She was a member of the Elizabethton Senior Citizens and Grace Baptist Church.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Silas Wayne Elliott in 1996 and by a sister: Rudene Forrester.
    Survivors include Three Children and their spouses: Kathy & Roy Dula, Sandra & Roy Miller and Gary & Karen Elliott all of Elizabethton.     Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
    Active Pallbearers will be: Jason Elliott, Chris Runion, Eric Miller, Mark Dula, Graham Haws and Teddy Greenwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Friends and neighbors of Walker Street and her Co-Workers and friends of the former Carter County Memorial Hospital.
    The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to Judy Deloach and Caregivers at Ivy Hall Nursing Home for the excellent care that our mother received.

    MADISONVILLE, KY - Carolyn Sue Greenwell Berry, 76, Madisonville, Kentucky passed away Friday, July at Baptist Health of Madisonville.

    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late W.L. "Doug" & Callie Morley Greenwell. Sue was a member of Second Baptist Church in Madisonville. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

    Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Clarence Berry: son. Tim (Lynn) Berry of Madisonville; daughters: Tina (James) Willis, Madisonville and Tracy (Mary) Messamore of Clarksville, TN: sister: Shirley Greenwell, Elizabethton and brothers: Jim (Darrie) Greenwell of Madisonville; and Teddy (Martha) Greenwell, Elizabethton. Grandsons: Thorton Hamilton, Ben Willis, Luke Willis, Isaac Devine, Seth Devine, Trevor Messamore and Jaxon Messamore; and several nieces & nephews.

    Funeral Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at Second Baptist Church 633 Bishop St, Madisonville. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Madisonville.
