    ELIZABETHTON — Mrs. Pauline Keller, 85, of Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.

    She was the daughter of the late George and Roxie Bunton Guinn and was born in Carter County.

    In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Keller; and a brother, Bob Guinn.

    Mrs. Keller was a member of Siam Baptist Church and she also loved to quilt. She worked at the Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center for over thirty years.

    Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Ronnie Keller and his wife, Connie; two daughters, Brenda White and her husband, Max; Patricia Proffitte, all of Elizabethton; eight grandchildren, Cassandra Salo, Rebecca Lavergne and her husband, Travis, Brenna Richardson and her husband, Donnie, Ronnie Keller, Jr., Johnny Proffitte, Kim Hyder and her husband, Curtis, April Ashley and her husband, Tim, Chris Proffitte; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Salo, Bryce Richardson, Raven Proffitte, Macy Ashley, J.R. Lavergne, Austin Hyder and McKenna Richardson; four brothers, Carl Guinn, Dennis Guinn, Claude Guinn, all of Elizabethton; Dean Guinn, Hampton; and three sisters, Mary Gouge, Peggy Whitehead and Sue Stafford, all of Elizabethton; special friends, Brenda Stout, Teddy and Vernie Turbyfill and her special cousins, Thelma Cassidy, Bill Bunton, Deedee Bunton, Jean Cox and Belva Lance.. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    A service to honor the life of Mrs. Pauline Keller will be conducted on Monday, September 14, 2015, at 7:00 PM in the Riverside Chapel, of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Jack Roddy officiating.

    The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday prior to the service.

    The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at 1:00 PM at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    Those wishing to attend are asked to meet the family at the funeral home at 12:15 PM on Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.

    Carl "Bros" Guinn, 85, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2019, from Hillview Health Center of Elizabethton. Carl was born in Butler, Tenn., to the late George W. Guinn and Roxie Mae Bunton Guinn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Guinn; a daughter, Tammy Sheree Handy; two brothers, Bob Guinn and Dean Guinn; and two sisters, Pauline Keller and Peggy Whitehead.
    Carl retired as an auto mechanic, having been self-employed, and had worked for Esso. He was a United States Army veteran, having proudly served his country during the Korean War. Carl was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Carson, listening to country music and working on cars.
    Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Betty Widner Guinn, of the home; four sons, Ricky Guinn, Carl Widner, Danny Widner and Tommy Widner, all of Elizabethton; four daughters, Teresa Guinn and Judy Tolley, both of Elizabethton, and Linda Arnold and Cathy Whitehead, both of Johnson City; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Claude "Pet" Guinn and wife Joann of Elizabethton and Dennis "Black" Guinn, also of Elizabethton; and two sisters, Mary Gouge and Sue Stafford, both of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    A service to celebrate and honor the life of Carl "Bros" Guinn will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 14, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Brett Jones officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, or at the residence at any time. The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, February 15, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Military Honors will be accorded by the Carter County Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Guinn, Johnny Proffitt, Ronnie Keller, Larry Price II, Danny Henegar and Bobby Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Holloway, the staff of Hillview Health Center, his "little angel"-Kami Deel-Meade (NP), Brandy Presley and Sherry Bowling.

    ELIZABETHTON - Peggy L. Guinn Whitehead, age 75, of Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at her home.

    She was born in Johnson County and was a daughter of the late George and Roxie Bunton Guinn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Keller and two brothers, Bobby J. Guinn and Dean Guinn.

    Mrs. Whitehead was a member of Sims Hill Christian Church and attended Beck Mountain Baptist Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished her family as they did her. She will be greatly missed.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of fifty-nine years, Lee Whitehead, of the home; two daughters, Vickie Lyons and her husband, Denny, and Bridget Whitehead, all of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Shane Lyons, Heather Lyons, Summer Johnson and her husband, Josh, all of Elizabethton; three great-grandchildren, Laken Lyons, Levi Lyons and Abbie Johnson, all of Elizabethton; two sisters, Mary Gouge, Sue Stafford, both of Elizabethton; three brothers, Carl "Bros" Guinn, Dennis "Black" Guinn and Claude "Pet" Guinn, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    A service to honor the life of Peggy L. Guinn Whitehead will be conducted on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 7:00 PM in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, Elizabethton with Rev. Ronnie Campbell and Rev. Terry Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service, or at the home at other times.

    A graveside service and interment will be conducted on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Shane Lyons, Levi Lyons, Josh Johnson, Jack Whitehead, John Rainbolt, Jeff Guinn, Ronnie Keller and Carl Lee Widner. Honorary pallbearers Danny Ray Henegar, Bobby McGee, Stacy Street, Lester Rainbolt, Keith Carr, Ron Whitehead, Rex Whitehead, Jeff Whitehead, James Whitehead and Dr. Charlie Ward.

    Larry “Jack” Bunton went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Elizabethton on January 8, 1948 to the late Raud and Helen Medearis Bunton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ray Bunton; sister, Lynda Sue Bunton Greene; and son-in-law, Charlie Blevins.
    Jack was a member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church and served as Deacon of East Side Free Will Baptist Church for 35 years. He was a 1967 graduate of Elizabethton High School and a graduate of ETSU. He retired from Carter County Schools where he was a teacher and principal at Central and Happy Valley Elementary Schools.
    Jack served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era, earning the Bronze Star and participating in Apollo 10 recovery pickup. His greatest joy was spending time with and traveling with family. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
    Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Alice Nave Bunton; son, Jason (Lori) Bunton; daughter, Janean Blevins; four grandchildren, Danielle (Jerrod) Bunton Thornton, Katie Bunton, Caleb (Maggie) Blevins and Alyceson Blevins; a great-grandson, Mason Thornton; brother, Bill (Connie) Bunton; brother-in-law, Terry (Carolyn) Nave; sister-in-law, Joyce (Charles) Savage; and several nieces and nephews.
    The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, at Mountain Home National Cemetery (New Section), 215 Heroes Drive, Mountain Home, with the Rev. Randy Johnson and the Rev. Mark Potter officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, will be Caleb Blevins, Jerrod Thornton, Aaron Bunton, Jeff Carr, Justin Deaton, Kirk McLaughlin and Dennis Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be James Watkins, Lynn England, Jim Troutman, Sandy Carr, Bill and Phyllis Cline and the Deacons of East Side Free Will Baptist Church.
