    Buried:
    Alma Justine (Pardue) Sala passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 13, 1938 to the late Paul and Frances (Canter) Pardue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don Sala; sister, Carol Pardue; brother, Butler Pardue and his wife, Pat Pardue; father-in-law, William Sala; mother-in-law, Mary Sala; brothers-in-law Barry Fyock and John Sala; daughter-in-law, Mary (Dixon) Sala.

    Alma was a member of the Mountain City Church of Christ. Her family moved from Mountain City to Pennsylvania in the 1960’s. While living there, she met and married Don Sala. They were blessed to enjoy 50 years of marriage. They returned to Mountain City in 1970, where she lived for the rest of her life.

    Alma loved going for rides in the country, working word search puzzles, and sitting on the back porch in her rocker, watching the cattle and horses. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Donna Burgess (Brent); sons, Arlen Sala and Gary Sala; sister, Janice Pardue; brothers, Edgar Pardue (Georgia), Jimmy Pardue (Louise); sister in law, Dorothy Fyock; brother in law, Bill Sala (Jan); grandchildren, Deidre Dunn (Logan), Greta Helm (Eric), Shania Sala and Austin Sala; great-grandchildren, Aiden Dunn and Jasmine Helm, and was awaiting the arrival of baby Ashlinn Dunn; nieces, Melisa Pardue Beavers (Chris), Laurie Lewis (Ron), Joannie Mann (Paul), Connie Harris (Russell); nephews: David Pardue (Wanda), Fred Fyock (Chris) and Jay Sala (Holly); special friends, John and Karen Arnold.

    Also, special caregivers who treated her with the utmost kindness and respect and like their own mother or family member include: Pat Woods, Kathy Helm, Barbara “Sis” Long, Nancy Townsend, Sandra Price, Joan Arnold, and Monika Burgess.The family would also like to thank Amedisys Home Health and Hospice, along with her doctor, Emily McQueen and her nurse Amy.

    The graveside service were held at 11:00 on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park with Minister Buddy Morefield officiating. Pallbearers were Brent Burgess, David Pardue, Eric Helm, Brian Helm, Jamie Lewis, and Randy Forrester.

    SODDY DAISY — Butler Dean Pardue, 74, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 29, 2016, surrounded by his family.

    He was a member of the North Hamilton Church of Christ. Butler was a United States Army Veteran. He was an avid sports fan who loved his Braves and his Tennessee Vols; he also loved bluegrass and loved to sing. Butler loved to be around family and friends and loved to make them laugh. He was always happy and he will be sadly missed.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Eustice Pardue; his father, Paul Pardue; his mother, Frances Pardue and a sister, Carol Sue Pardue.

    He is survived by his wife, Glenna Pennick Pardue; daughter, Melisa (Chris) Beavers; granddaughters, Mollie, Maddie Claire Beavers; sisters, Janice Pardue and Alma (Don) Sala; brothers, Edgar (Georgia) Pardue, Jim (Louise) Pardue; brothers-in-law, Horace (Liz) Eustice, Morris (Sheila) Eustice and sisters-in-law, Betty (Fred) Doss, Judy (Cecil) Morgan and several nieces and nephews.

    The service will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Minister Bill Greer officiating. Burial will follow in Presbyterian Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation is 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday and after 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.
