    Notes:

    Mr. Earnest "E.C." Campbell, 84, 170 Flora Dugger Road, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008, in Hermitage Health Center following an extended illness.

    A native of Johnson County, TN, he was the son of the late Dan and Sallie White Campbell. He was a retired truck driver and farmer. He was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Campbell was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Dugger Campbell; four sisters, Marie Hatley, Ophra Greene, Emma Taylor and Anabelle Potter; two brothers, Roy Campbell and J.P. Campbell; and a grandson, Daniel Campbell.

    Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard E. and Pam Campbell, Lloyd E. and Roberta Campbell and Joe and Kim Campbell, all of Elizabethton; six grandchildren, Missy, Ernie, Ann, Jaclyn, Brandon and Autumn; and four great-grandchildren, Brittney, Kaitlin, Tristan and Jaelyn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    Funeral service for Mr. Earnest "E.C." Campbell will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, December 29, 2008, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hardin officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Dale Williams.

    The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday or at the residence of Joe and Kim Campbell, 166 Flora Dugger Road, Elizabethton, or at the residence of Richard and Pam Campbell, 172 Little Avenue, Elizabethton, at other times.

    Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2008, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #49. Active pallbearers will be Ernie Campbell, Tommy Campbell, Ronnie Taylor, Gerald Buckles, David Grindstaff and Troy Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Brown, Ed Campbell, Mike Nidiffer, Carrell Grindstaff, Randy Grindstaff, Conway Hyder, Wayne Campbell, friends and neighbors of Dry Hollow, Ben at Hermitage Health Center and former employees of E.T.&W.N.C.

    ELIZABETHTON - Joseph Lynn Campbell, 64, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 21, 1958 in Carter County to the late E.C. & Nell Dugger Campbell. Joe was a 1976 graduate of Unaka High School where he played Basketball and Football. He retired as Director of Operations at the Elizabethton Electric System after 28 years of service. After his retirement from the Electric System, he was employed as Safety Instructor for J.T. & S. out of Murfreesboro. He loved hunting, camping and farming. Joe was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Daniel Campbell.

    Survivors include his wife: Kimberly Holly Campbell. One Daughter: Jaclyn Gifford. Two Stepchildren: Autumn (Nathan) Kyte and Brandon Little. Two Brothers: Richard (Pam) Campbell and Edward (Roberta) Campbell. Several nieces and nephews. His two cats: Patches & Eddie.

    A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the Fairview Baptist Church, Watauga Road, Elizabethton with Pastor Gary Roe officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be his many, many friends that he has made through the years.
