Ida Lou Gryder

Ida Lou Campbell. Age 79, of Butler, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord Saturday June 22, 2013, at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Arlie and Bertha Arnold Gryder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Campbell, of fifty-nine years who passed away May 31, 2013; one grandson, Richie Lee Burchett; two brothers, Dan and John Russell Gryder; and one sister, Maude Gryder.
Ida was a member of Elk River Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker and loved her garden, cooking and her family. She loved all her children and grandchildren. Ida and Howard helped raise three grandchildren that were very special, Joseph Trivette, Zachary Buckles and Allie Pearson.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Gryder, Raleigh, NC, Melvin Campbell, Morganton, NC, and Gary Campbell, Butler, TN; three daughters, Alesia Lorentz, Johnson City, TN, Teresa Trivett and Shelia Trivette, both of Butler, TN; one brother Paul Gryder, Butler, TN; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and two special friends, Thelma Stanton and Barbara Gilbert.
The funeral service for Mrs. Campbell will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Mike Taylor, Rev. Charles Cable and Rev. Nick Bradshaw officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Thankful Hearts and Melinda Shelton.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service in the Riverside Chapel and anytime at the residence.
The graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in the Campbell Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Joe Trivett, Ricky Burchett, Michael Gilbert, Andrew Campbell, Jamie Campbell, Phil Lorentz, Ronnie Trivett, Bobby Trivette, Leonard Gilbert, Jerry Ludrosky, and Doug Hatley. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
