JOHNSON CITY - Mr. Hubert Barnett, 91, of Johnson City, passed away on Wednesday November 2 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Johnson City.

He attended Lamar High School & retired from ASG of Kingsport. After retirement he drove a school bus for Washington County Schools.

Hubert proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.

He was a motorsports enthusiast that built, repaired and raced cars. He had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson, fishing and the Atlanta Braves.

He was married to Marie Markland for 62 years. He took excellent care of her for the last 17 years in the home, after she suffered a severe stroke.

He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church, but recently attended Keystone Freewill Baptist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marie; brothers, Lloyd Barnett and Clifford Barnett; sisters, Neil Andes and Christine Barnett and great grandson, Eian Bradley Adams.

Survivors include Sons, Timothy & Wife Sandra Barnett and John Barnett; Sister, Shirley Lane; three daughters, Carolyn Presnell, Gail and husband Mike Lowery of Johnson City, Karen and husband James Moncieur of Greenville; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The Barnett family will receive friends from 12:00 PM til 1:00 PM Saturday, November 5, at Tetrick Funeral Services in Johnson City, TN. The funeral service will follow with Reverend Jerry Stout officiating. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, in Barnett Cemetery in Johnson City, TN.

Pallbearers include: Scotty Hill, Mike Lowery, Michael Lowery, John Barnett, Tim Barnett and Keith Fair.

JOHNSON CITY - Judy Andes Clark, 71, of Johnson City, passed away at her residence on Thursday, May 10, 2018.

She was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Carl and Nell Barnett Andes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Eian Adams.

Judy enjoyed restoring antiques and giving them to folks in need. She loved animals especially her black lab, Easy, and her cat, Lucky.

Those left to cherish Judy's memory include her husband, John W. Clark, her daughter, Karin Strickland, son, Kevin Cole, grandchildren: Bethany Barnett, Tyler Strickland, and Devin Cole; step-son, Jonathan "Jay" Clark, step-daughter, Jill Clark, brothers: Wayne Andes and his wife Judy, Mike Andes and his wife Marilyn; sister, Phyllis Hill and her husband Gary, great-grandsons: Wesley, Warren, and Eli Adams, Colby Brookshire, Tony Strickland, Nolan Strickland; and several nieces and nephews.

JOHNSON CITY - Michael Ray Andes, 69, of Johnson City, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, after an eight year battle with cancer.

He was a native of Johnson City, and a son of the late Carl and Nell Barnett Andes.

Michael served his country in the Vietnam War.

He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by: one sister, Judy Clark; and one niece, Joy Harvey.

Survivors include: his wife of 25 years, Marilyn Andes; children, Jason Andes and his wife Stacee, and Melissa Howell; siblings, Wayne Andes and his wife Judy, Phyllis Hill and her husband Gary; grandchildren, Carl Andes, Kyrie Andes, Rebekah Andes, and Harlee Andes; and many special nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Mailien Reed Rogers, the VA medical staff, and Caris healthcare for their care and comfort.

The family of Michael Ray Andes will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be follow immediately after, with pastors Jeremy Dykes and Tad Johnson officiating. A committal will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Barnett Cemetery on Spencer Lane in Johnson City.

Pallbearers will be: Dustin Clawson, Tim Clawson, David Hill, Scotty Hill, Matt Howell, and John Barnett. Honorary pallbearers are: Gary Hill, John Clark, Hubert Barnett, Jerry Barnett, Steve Howell, and Steve Harris.

Michael married Mary Sue Howell about 1970 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee. Mary was born about 1952 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; died on 10 Feb 2021 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Barnett Cemetery, , Washington County, Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
