    Edna Elaine Trivette Harmon, age 82, greatly cherished by her family, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2004. Mrs. Harmon resided at 256 Long Hollow Road, Elizabethton. She was a native of Carter County and was a daughter of the late Linzy and Sarah Potter Trivette. Mrs. Harmon was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bronskey W. Harmon, a son, John Harmon and an infant daughter, Brenda Kay Harmon; five brothers: Willie Trivette, Vance Trivette, Lem Trivette, Ray Trivette, Dale "Bo" Trivette; three sisters: Ira Parlier, Hazel Potter and Mae Church. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law: Dorothy and Bob Dupuis and Retha and Randy Franklin both of Morganton, NC, Frances and Roger Isabelle of Plymouth, NH, Judy and Randy Keever of Glen Alpine, NC, two sons and one daughter-in-law: Jerry Harmon of Elizabethton and Ronnie and Kathy Harmon of Conley Springs, NC, three sisters: Dawn Peters, Diane Garland, and Rosemary Mowrey. Seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Edna Elaine Trivette Harmon will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004 at the Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with Rev. Russell Potter and Rev. Randy Keever officiating. Music will be under the direction of Lowell and Glenda Trivette and Lester Church. The family will receive friends Thursday from noon - 2:00 prior to the service, or at the residence, 256 Long Hollow Rd, Elizabethton at any time. The graveside service and interment will be at the Harmon Cemetery following the service. Active pallbearers will be grandsons Bobby Dupuis, Jimmy Dupuis, Ricky Dupuis, Ronnie Harmon, Jr., Bradley Harmon, and Bruce Isabelle. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Guess, Keith Isabelle, Brian Isabelle and Gary Isabelle.

    Mrs. Stella Mae Church, 75, 1210 Valley Street, Elizabethton, died Thursday, May 27, 1999, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital after an extended illness.
    Mrs. Church was a native of Beech Mountain, N.C., and a daughter of the late Linzy "Pop" and Sarah Hartley Trivett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Erwin L. Church, February 17, 1997, four brothers, Vance, Ray, Lem and Willie Trivett, and two sisters, Hazel and Fannie Trivett
    Mrs. Church had lived a number of years in Elizabethton. She was a member of Beech Mountain Baptist Church.
    Survivors include a daughter, Vanessa Johnson, Clearmont, Fla.; four sons, Bob R. Church, Nashville, Vance Church, Gary Church and Lester Church, all of Elizabethton; and a sister, Mrs. Edna Harmon, Elizabethton. Ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
    Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

    CHURCH -- Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Mae Church, 75, 1210 Valley Street, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Russell Potter officiating. Music will be provided by Lowell and Linda Trivett and Lester Church. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beech Mountain Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, will be Mat Church, Steven Church, Keith Church, Lowell Trivett, Vance Trivett Jr., Kevin Estep, Jerry Harmon and Aaron Potter. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

    She is survived by six children: Donna Smith (Steven) of Oxford, Robin Roberts (Tim) of Mountain City, TN, Freida Moore (Gary) of Nottingham, PA, Dwayne Barlow (Mary) of West Grove, PA, Keith Barlow (Angela) of Butler, TN and Tammy Snyder (Chris) of Landenberg, PA; 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild and five siblings, Irene Anderson of West Chester, PA Joyce Mandler of Arab, Al., Allen Trivette of Stoney Creek, TN, Mildred Sobotka of Kingsport, TN., and Mary Sizemore of Appalachia, VA.

    Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 5th at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment at Union Hill Cemetery of Kennett Square, PA.

    Bobby James Trivette, 80, Hampton, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born June 23, 1941 in Beech Mountain, N.C., to the late Arlie Ray and Daisy Maxine Davis Trivette.
    Bobby was a construction worker. In earlier years he was employed at North American Rayon Corporation. He attended the Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center where he helped deliver Meals on Wheels. He loved bowling, fishing, walking and billiards. He loved spending time with his five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Bobby attended Friendship Baptist Church and True Gospel Baptist Church.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Horton Ray “Bib” Trivette, Bernard Trivette and Linzy Reed Trivette, and a sister, Eula Barger.
    Survivors include his children, Sheila Ward, Greta (Barry) Lawson, Kenneth (Sheri) Trivette and Bobby Joe (Connie) Trivette; grandchildren, Emily Ward, Kendra McKinney, Courtney Trivette, Israel Lawson and Isaiah Vines; great-grandchildren, Jamison Pierson, Braedon Vines and Eleanor McKinney; sisters, Jessie Lee (George) Lambert and Genevieve Greenwell and Steve Pate; brothers, Ferrell Trivette, Dennis (Sharon) Trivette and William “Bill” Trivette; several nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Pearl Trivette; his brother-in-law, Owen Barger; and his sister-in-law, Linda Trivette.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Music will be provided by Glenda and Lowell Trivette and Emily Ward. Interment will follow in the Trivette Cemetery, Beech Mountain, N.C. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    Belle was born May 5, 1944 in Avery County, N.C., a daughter of the late Arlie Ray and Daisy Maxine Trivette. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ray "Bib" Trivette and Bernard B. Trivette; sisters-in-law, Sharon Trivette, Sue Trivette, Marilyn Trivette and Barbara Barger; and a brother-in-law, James Wells.
    Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Owen A. Barger of Portage, Ind.; her children, Sheila (Jack) Lenburg of Indiana and Greg (Tammy) Barger of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Nicole Lenburg and Jessica and Bryce Barger; her siblings, Jessie Lee (George) Lambert, Genevieve Greenwell, Bob Trivette, Ferrell Trivette, Bill Trivette, Dennis (Sharon) Trivette and Reed Trivette; her sisters-in-law, Linda Trivette, Rose Stout, Mary Trivette, Pearl Trivette, Lawanza (Ken) Gurman and Donna Wells; a step-sister, Donna Pearson; her brothers-in-law, Gaithel Barger and Teddy (Barbara Ann) Barger; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
    Belle was raised in Poga, Tenn., and most of her childhood was spent in Buntontown, Tenn. She married the love of her life, Owen Barger, on October 12, 1962, in Crown Point, Ind. The couple settled in Northwest Indiana where they raised their two children. Belle was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a sharp-dressed woman who loved to shop, cook and fish with Owen. Belle was known for making the best chicken and dumplings and salmon patties. Her dash was full of life and love.
    Her brother, Bill Trivette, will welcome friends and family at his home in Hampton, Tenn., on Thursday and Friday.
    The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, November 11, at Tetrick Funeral Home, 211 N. Riverside Drive, Elizabethton, Tenn. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 12, in the Trivette Cemetery in Poga

    Prior to his illness, he was employed by the Dana Corporation, and also was a car salesman. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Elaine Keever, and a brother John Harmon. Jerry attended Beck Mountain Baptist Church.
    Survivors include Two Daughters: Jennifer Harmon and Keisha Harmon both of Elizabethton. Three Grandchildren: Kiley and Kinsley McInturff and Axxl Debnam. Three Sisters: Retha Franklin and Dorothy Dupuis both of Morganton, North Carolina and Frances Isabelle, Unicoi. One Brother: Ronnie "Donnie" Harmon. Connelly Springs, NC. Several nieces & nephews.
    Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev Dean Presnell officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmon Cemetery, Butler. Active Pallbearers will be: Derrick McInturff, Wesley Debnam, Marty Greenwell, William Garrison, William Greenwell, Randy Franklin, Ricky Dupuis and Bronson Garrison. Honorary pallbearers will be: Daryl Greer, John Grant, Holden Garrison and Brian Isabelle.

    Bob passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2019 at his home in Franklin, TN.

    He leaves behind a legacy of love for his family, devotion to his country and its armed services, and commitment to his savior, Jesus Christ.

    He is lovingly remembered as a husband, brother, father and grandfather. As a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army, Bob rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and received the distinguished Legion of Merit, among other recognitions. An active member of Brentwood Baptist Church, he was a member of the Encouragers Life Group and the Condolence Committee. For those that knew him well, he will be fondly remembered for striking up long conversations with potential friends, also known as strangers, and for a willingness to run errands for loved ones at anytime of the day or night.

    He has been joyously reunited in Heaven with his parents, Erwin and Mae Church; bother, Lester; sister, Vanessa.

    He is survived by his wife, Retha Church; children, Tommy Church, Janan Church and Bobby Church; step-children, Jonah Hickson, Charis Hickson, Drew Fletcher (Lynsi) and Katie Belvin (Michael); five delightful grandchildren that loved their Poppy, Willamina Church, Henry and Ezra Fletcher, Charlotte and Evelyn Belvin; brothers, Vance Church and Gary Church (Jo Anne); many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Visitation will be on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 12-1 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will on Saturday, at 1 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

    Aaron M Potter, beloved Father and Grandfather went to be with his lord and savior Friday April 12 following a year long fight with cancer.

    Aaron was born August 27th 1945 the son of the late Reverend Russell Potter and Hazel Trivette Potter. He was the grandson of Linzie and Sarah Trivette and Millard and Pearl Potter. Aaron was a graduate of Hampton High School class of 1964. He is the husband of the late Linda Mckeehan Potter. He owned and operated D and A Motors for 39 years and worked at Nickels Performance Speedshop for several years. Aaron was also an active deacon at Long Hollow Baptist Church in Valley Forge where after each service brought tootsie roll candy to the children of the congregation.

    Survivors include one son Dan Potter, a daughter Wendy Overman, son in law Tim Overman, 4 grandchildren who loved him very much, Jordan, Aaron Tristan, and Emma Overman as well as a step granddaughter Haley Glover. He is also survived by his sister Lavonia Austin, brother in law Ed Peters, father and Mother in Law Bud and Loretta Mckeehan ,niece Marina Robinson(husband David) and their daughter Brittany, nephew Scott Sams (wife Kim) and daughters Kaeli, Savanna, son Colbie. Niece Ashlee Mckeehan and Daughter Aubree, he also survived by several great nieces and nephews. And a host of cousins.

    He is also survived by his girlfriend Mary Brickey of Johnson City. Two very close classmates Tip Smith and Glenn Cates, and very close friends Tony and Linda Bowers who helped throughout his illness.

    In addition to his parents and wife he is also preceded in death by his younger sister Janet Potter Peters and brother in law Raymond V. Austin.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 in the Meadow View Baptist Church, Butler with the Rev. Ray Greene, Rev. Ken Houser and Rev. Charlie Trivette officiating. Interment will follow in the Buntontown Cemetery. Music will be provided by the Sounds of Victory, Everette & Cleta Garland and his daughter Wendy Overman. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thurday in the funeral home..

    ELIZABETHTON - Melissa Rose Trivette, age 53, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by family and friends. Melissa was born in Carter County, Tennessee to Rose Morris Stout and the late Linzy “Reed” Trivette. Melissa was well known as “Missy” with family and friends and as “Mo” with her Walmart DC friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmothers Flossie Morris and Daisy “Maxine” Trivette and special aunts Teresa Metcalf, Marilyn Trivette, and Eula Belle Barger.

    Melissa worked at Walmart Distribution Center in Midway, Tennessee as the Assistant General Manager. She was the General Manager at the Walmart Distribution Centers in Alachua and Macclenny, Florida.

    Melissa was an incredibly giving person and loved her family and friends beyond measure. She will be remembered by her beautiful soul and the positive impact that she made in the lives of others. She enjoyed “girls trips,” being with family and friends, going to the beach, and cooking.

    Those left to cherish Melissa’s many memories include her daughter, Savannah Grindstaff Taylor and son-in-law, Jesse Taylor; fiancé, Richard Peters; mother, Rose Morris Stout and stepfather, Glenn “Dale” Stout; special uncle, Ferrell Trivette; sister, Samantha Estep; nephew, Jacob Stout; many special cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and furry friend, Ed the cat.

    A Celebration of Life for Melissa Trivette will be held from 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Sinking Creek Baptist Church Pavilion (2313 Elizabethton Hwy, Johnson City, Tennessee 37601). A service will be conducted at 6:00 PM by Matthew Guy and music by Emily Brooke Ward.
