    Notes:

    Ruth Lipford Williams, age 88, Butler, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, March 31, 2013, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

    A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Pearl Walsh Lipford. Ruth was a graduate of Watauga Academy.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Williams, who died April 27, 1987; by a brother and sister-in-law: Buster and Margaret Peters Lipford.

    She has one daughter, Sue Carol Ward and son-in-law, Darrell Ward; and one grandchild, Jamie Darrell and wife, Heather Leigh Ward; One great grandchild, Haleigh Jean Ward; Two nieces, Sherry Lynn and husband, Russell Kyte, and their son, David Kyte, his daughter, Taylor; Glenda Pearl and husband, Wayne Treadway, and their son, William Glenn.

    She was a member of Cobbs Creek Baptist Church, an active member until this past year, working in the WMU, Choir Members, Sunday School Teacher, working in Bible School and always making chicken and dumplings for our meetings. She also sent many cards to the sick.

    She was the Best Mom a person could have, and we are so proud of her. She would always say "Let's pray about it."

    Ruth married James R. Williams on 18 Oct 1941 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. James (son of Alfred M. Williams and Myrtle (Williams)) was born about 1921 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 27 Apr 1987. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
