Ms. Marie N. Shoun, age 90, of Butler, TN, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 25, 2013, in Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Shoun was born April 9, 1923, in Johnson County to the late John E. Norris Sr. and Rader Mullins, Norris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Shoun; as well as a sister, Villa Lea Kyte; and two brothers J.E. Norris and K.D. Norris. Ms. Shoun was a member of the Little Doe Baptist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and gardening. Survivors include one son, John Shoun, of Butler, TN; two grandchildren, Shea Shoun and wife, Rebecca, Sarasota, FL, and Michele Winkelmeyer and husband, Kevin, of Sarasota, FL; six great grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Nicholas, and Marek Winkelmeyer and Caleb and Sophia Marie Shoun. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Special friends, Mary Bowman, Lillian Arnold, Marketta Allen, Linda Keller and Amelia McEwen. At her request a graveside service for Marie N. Shoun will be conducted on Monday, September 30, 2013, from the Lakeview Cemetery in Carter County, TN, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Richard Stout to officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Stan Widener, Larry Mullins, George Lowe, Don Shoun, Mark McEwen, Tony Whalen and Bill Brookshire. Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Laws) was born on 28 Feb 1910 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; died on 2 Nov 1988 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Lakeview Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee.
