Danny Joe DeLoach

Danny Joe DeLoach, 65, entered into Glory February 6, 2015 from the Mountain View Regional Medical Center- Norton, VA after a long illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Danny was a member of the Georges Fork Freewill Baptist Church and was a retired coal miner. Danny loved gospel music, and watching Christian Ministries, one of his favorites being Boyd Bingham. He also enjoyed westerns and was a huge wrestling fan. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Icy May (Blair) DeLoach; three brothers, Jack DeLoach, Harold DeLoach and Bill DeLoach and daughter, Brenda Counts. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Helen DeLoach- Pound, VA; sons, William Joe DeLoach- and wife Tina- Bristol, TN and Delmer Blair and wife Crystal-Clintwood, VA; daughters , Mary Mullins and husband Charlie- Pound, VA ; Sue McCowan and husband Bobby – Bristol, VA and Elizabeth Houchins and husband Billy-Kingsport, TN; son-in-law, Tim Counts- Castlewood, VA; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Ruby Reynolds-Tazewell, VA; brothers, Lawrence DeLoach- NC, Tommy DeLoach- Clintwood, VA, and Ernest DeLoach Jr.- Clintwood, VA; four special nephews, Mike Reynolds, Wayne DeLoach, Tommy DeLoach and Keith DeLoach ; special friend, Harold Mullins and all his church brothers and sisters; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his special little pet companions, Sissy and Missy; and a host of friends and loved ones to mourn his passing and cherish his memory. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Sunday February 8, 2015 in the Sadie Baker Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Greg Stanley, Pastor Glenn Slemp and Pastor Bo Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services. Prayer services will be conducted at 11:00am Monday February 9, 2015 in the Sadie Baker Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the DeLoach Family Cemetery-Clintwood , VA where family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. Baker Funeral Home-Pound, VA is serving the family of Danny Joe DeLoach.
