    Alma Timbs, age 89, of 577 Laurel Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013, at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, Tennessee.
    She was born on November 16, 1923, to the late Edd and Eliza Moody Arney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zeke Timbs; also sisters Goldie Arney and Hazel Clawson; and a brother, Lawrence Arney.
    She loved fishing with her husband and cooking for her family.
    She was a member of Vaughts Gap Baptist Church.
    Survivors include: daughter: Lucille Brown and Husband, Harvey, Mountain City, TN; Three sons: Jim Timbs and wife, Wanda, Mountain City, TN, Herman Timbs and wife, Betty, Mountain City, TN, Joe Timbs and Wife, Betty, Lenior, N.C.; Brother; Maurice Arney and wife, Mary, of Mountain City, TN; Ten grandchildren; Twelve Great Grandchildren; Three great, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
    Funeral services for Alma Timbs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, from Charles B. Hux Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Morefield and Rev. Frank Johnson officiating.
    Graveside service and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
