    Louise C. Davis, 81, of Johnson City, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011, at her residence.

    She was a native of Boone, NC, but had lived in Johnson City most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Niles and Dallas Hamby Green. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, L.T. and Robert Green; and by one sister, Dorothy Crowe.

    Mrs. Davis was a member of the Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.

    Survivors include; her husband, of 63 years, Howard Davis; two daughters, Carolyn Pickering and her husband, Walter, of Sulphur Springs, and Linda Scalf and her husband, Jerry, of Kingsport; one brother, Homer Green and his wife, Pearl ,of Johnson City; four sisters, Martha Carr and her husband, Tom, of Jonesborough, Patsy Harmon and her husband, Charles, of Knoxville, Jean Green, of Tampa, and Erma Hodge, of Johnson City; three Granddaughters, Sherry Holtsinger and her husband, Kevin, Rebecca Stover and her husband, Mike, and Elizabeth Umatani and her husband, Nozo; Eight Great Grandchildren; a special nephew, Donnie Harris and his wife, Sandy, and several other nieces and nephews. Two caregivers are Renae Norton and Lisa Moore.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Jerry Scalf, Rev. Donnie Harris and Rev. Lyons Smith will officiate.

    Burial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday from the Cherokee Community Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Friday for the cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
