    ELIZABETHTON — Mrs. Oma Lee Holder Richardson, of Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness.

    She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Dora Estep Holder and was born in Carter County.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Robert Richardson, three brothers, Deward Holder, Conley Holder, Dan Holder, and an infant sister, Blanche Holder.

    Mrs. Richardson volunteered her time as a Pink Lady at Sycamore Shoals Hospital and also for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. She was retired from North American Rayon Corporation where she worked for over fifty years.

    She is survived by a daughter, Linda Kay Larkin and her husband, Jim, Knoxville; two grandchildren, John Larkin and his wife, Jill; Susan Brown and her husband, Mike, all of Knoxville; five great-grandchildren, Lindsey Brown, Laura Brown, Savannah Larkin and Corey Larkin, all of Knoxville; Caleb Pleasant, Rhode Island; two brothers, Hoover Holder and his wife, Maureen, Elizabethton; Lloyd Holder, Rolling Hills Estates, CA; four sisters, Sylvia Bradley, Jonesborough; Eva Estep, Elizabethton; Lois Edmison and her husband, Manuel, Kernersville, NC and Shirley Richardson and her husband, Ronda, Winston-Salem, NC. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    The family would like to express a special and heartfelt thank you to Linda Tester, Tracey Steffey, Rose Branch and Karen Ludlow for their friendship and care over the past three years. Also a thank you to Harold and Martha Smith, Brad and Amber Smith and Mrs. Richardson's wonderful neighbors, and Lynn and Jack Hamilton for all their visits.

    The funeral service for Mrs. Richardson will be conducted on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2:30 PM in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, Elizabethton with Rev. Ron Owens officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1:30-2:30 PM on Tuesday prior to the service.

    Interment will follow the funeral service in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be contacted. Honorary pallbearers will be the Members of the Joy Sunday School Class of Grace Baptist Church, Harold Smith, Brad Smith and Jack Hamilton.

    ELIZABETHTON - Eva Holder Estep, 94, Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 10, 2020 at her residence.

    A native of carter County, she was a daughter of the late N.R. & Dora Holder. She previously was employed at Magnavox and retired from Texas Instruments. She was a member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church but attended Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church. Eva was an avid reader, loved working in her flowers and garden and working puzzles.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Shade Estep who passed away April 8, 1992,by four brothers: Deward Holder, Daniel Holder, Conley Holder and Hoover Holder and three sisters: Blanche Holder, Oma Richardson and Sylvia Bradley.

    Survivors include two daughters: Diana Estep of the home and Donna Estep Livingston, Elizabethton. Two Sisters: Lois Edmison, Kernersville, NC and Shirley Richardson & brother-in-law: Ronda Richardson, Winston-Salem, NC and one brother: Lloyd Holder, Rolling Hills Estates, CA. Several nieces and nephews also survive, all of whom she loved dearly.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Gouge officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family.
