Goldie Ann Lambert, 91, 1666 Hillview Drive, Elizabethton, died Monday, September 18, 2006, at Hillview Health Center.

A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Andy and Julie Hartley Lunceford.

Mrs. Lambert was a homemaker and a member of Valley Forge House of Prayer.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lambert was preceded in death by a son, Tony Clawson, three husbands, Gurney Clawson, Roy Potter and Ross Lambert, and four brothers, Robert Lunceford, Dewey Lunceford, Martin Lunceford and Joe Lunceford.

Survivors include three daughters, Georgia Rosenbaum and Maxine Hyder, both of Elizabethton, and Ella Faye Rash of Johnson City; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one granddaughter that loved and cared for her, Rochelle Darnell of Elizabethton; and two sisters, Ceila Mae Lyons of Johnson City and Lona Potter of Indiana. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Lambert will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Potter officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 6 p.m. until the service hour, or friends may call at the residence of a daughter, Georgia Rosenbaum, 711 Blevins Avenue, Elizabethton, or at the home of a granddaughter, Rochelle Darnell, 634 West D Street, Elizabethton, anytime.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, at Stone Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Johnny Hicks, Mickey Darnell, Chris Ritchie, Dexter Adkins, Gene Hyder and Ernie Rosenbaum. Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Adkins, Travis Adkins, Dustin Simerly, Jeremy Simerly, Mason Hicks, Mallory Markland and Heather Darnell.

He was the son of the late Carlie William and Rosia Lee Vines Hartley. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel "Lottie" Hartley, a brother, L.D. Hartley, and an uncle, Dana Hartley.

Mr. Hartley was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church.

He was an employee of the Carter County Sheriff's Department and also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.

Funeral services was conducted at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Mar 21, 1999 at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel.

Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 22, 1999 at Happy Valley Memorial Park.

Mr. Dewey Lee “Gomer” Hartley, age 69, of Elizabethton “walked” home to be with his Lord Saturday, October 24, 2015 from Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Carlee William and Rosalee Vines Hartley. He was a retired employee of Snap-On-Tools and he was of the Baptist faith. “Gomer” loved playing music with his friends and enjoyed listening to blue grass music. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, L. D. Hartley and Jessie Hartley and a sister, Maxine Whaley. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hartley, of the home; three daughters, Norma Garrison and husband Mark, Elizabethton; Lorie Canter and husband David, Johnson City and Glinia Creasey and husband Doug, Elizabethton; grandchildren, Matthew Canter, Jacob Garrison, Kaylee Garrison, Kristen Creasey and Joshua Creasey; brothers, R. L. Hartley, Dennis Hartley, Gene Hartley and Carroll Hartley; sisters, Cindy Phillips, Hazel Clawson and Lucille Gardner and a special sister-in-law, Wanda Buckles. Several nieces and nephews and his loyal companion “Molly” also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service to honor the life of Mr. Dewey Lee “Gomer” Hartley will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Howard Estep, Rev. Ronnie Campbell and Rev. Buddy Street officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the service or at the residence at other times.

Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be June Andrews, Gary Cable, Dale Guinn, Bobby Guinn, Shane Guinn and Ken Carter.

Hugh Gene Hartley, 69, Poga, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the James H. Quillen Va Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Carl and Rosalee Vines Hartley.
Gene served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired construction worker. He was a member and Deacon of Elk Mills Christian Church. He loved to watch Westerns.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Lisha Clawson Hartley; his children, Timothy (Tina) Hartley and Kimberly Hartley and son-in-law Derek Garton; five grandchildren, Brittany, Phillip, Timmy, Faith and Abigail, and the love of his life, his great-grandson, Nehemiah; his brothers, Dennis, R.L. and Carroll Hartley; two sisters, Hazel and Lucille; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at the Elk Mills Christian Church with Mr. Glen Foster, minister, and Mr. Donnie Cable, minister, officiating. Music will be provided by the church family. Interment will follow in the Cable Cemetery. ELIZABETHTON - Georgia Lee Clawson Rosenbaum, 77, Elizabethton passed away December 25, 2019 in the Hillview Health Center.

Born December 25, 1942 in Butler, Tennessee to the late Gurney & Goldie Lunceford Clawson. She worked at TPI. She also worked at KFC for several years. Georgia was a member and Past President of the Carter County Crewettes. She was a member of Valley Forge House of Prayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Tony Clawson, Roy Potter and Ross Lambert her step-dads. She loved working in her home and her family.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years Ernest "Rosie" Rosenbaum. Her Children: Dexter (Lora) Adkins, Eddie Adkins, Rochelle (Mickey) Darnell and Johnny (Shay) Hicks. Her Grandchildren: Mason Hicks, Jessica (Dylan) Shetley, Dustin (Kelly) Simerly, Jeremy ( Cipriana) Simerly, Mallory (Matt) Howell and Heather (Jody) Rodefer. Her Great Grandchildren: McKinley, Christian and Jesse Pritchard, Oliver Shetley, Abbi, Liam, Mateao and Mia Simerly, Taylor, Jackson and Walker Howell, Corban, Caitlyn and Weston Rodefer, and two sisters.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday in memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Waycaster officiating. The eulogy will be given by Cecil Nelson. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 in the Spears Cemetery. Jesse Clinton Cable, age 75 of Butler, TN, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at his home. Jesse was born on November 4, 1944 to the late Coy Cable and Mae Stout Cable in Carter County, TN. In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Cable and wife Sharon, Clinton Cable, David Cable all of who were involved in a fatal car accident in 1987. He was also preceded in death by his daughter in law, Kathy Cable and granddaughter, Renee Shore.

Jesse was a veteran of the United States Army. He was also in the restaurant business for many years running the Elk Mills Restaurant. He had a passion for gardening and especially raising beans. Through his life, Jesse made many friends and will be dearly missed by all. He was member of the Stout Hill Church of Christ.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Potter Cable; daughter, Janet Dugger and husband Brad of Hampton, TN; son, Jeffrey Cable of Hartselle, AL; sister, Cathy Richards of Butler, TN; brother, Kenneth Cable and wife Cindy of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Audra Gill, Austin Clawson, Jonathan Shore; great grandchildren, Harley Mann, Jessie Myers, Loyd Meyers III, Jared Miller, Jessie Miller, and Jonathan Miller.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Ministers Donnie Cable and Ray Greene officiating. The graveside service and burial will immediately follow the funeral at Sugar Grove Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Austin Clawson, Brad Dugger, Jerry Gill, Jerad Miller, Jonathan Shore, and Jonathan Miller. Coy Clinton Guy, 77, of Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at his residence.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Hazel Cable Guy.
Mr. Guy retired as a forklift operator at McCloud Lumber Company. He was a member and Deacon of God's House Full Gospel Church. Coy loved gospel music, playing the guitar and singing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Annie Pearl Thomas Guy; two sons, Jamie and Wade Guy; a step-daughter, Melinda Thomas; and a sister, Cleo Clawson.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Oaks Guy; three sons, Leon Guy and wife Sheila, Rev. JoAnn Guy Trivette, 69, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 20, 2019, from Sycamore Shoals Hospital. JoAnn was born in Butler, Tenn., to the late Charlie and Hazel Cable Guy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved granddaughter, Bethany Holder; two great-granddaughters, Sidney Harrell and Christie White; two dear sisters, Cleo Guy and Elsie Oxendine; and a dear brother, Coy Guy.
JoAnn had the biggest heart and her humble nature will live on in memory by those who met her. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed dearly. JoAnn was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church in the Buntontown Community. She loved fishing and being outside, but most especially she loved seeing and spending time with her family and singing.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Allen Trivette, of the home; five wonderful daughters, Tina Wyatt and husband Ray, Joy Trivette, Dee Dee Trivette, Jeannie Holder and husband Kevin and Patty Holder and husband Gary, all of Elizabethton; her dear sister, Shirley Morgan and husband Leslie of Butler; her brother, Benny Guy and wife Patricia of Concord, N.C.; three sisters-in-law, Mildred Sobotka and husband Dan of Kingsport, Joyce Mandler and husband John of Alabama and Mary Sizemore and husband Bruce of Virginia; and her beloved grandchildren, Brittney Harrell, Dustin and Dakota Wyatt, Chanea, Mirissia and Joseph Orndorff, Anna Smith, Rebecca Blevins, Andrew and Bradley White and Brady and Alex Holder. A service to celebrate the life of JoAnn Guy Trivette will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 23, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Charlie Trivette and Pastor Matthew Guy officiating. Music will be under the direction of Lowell and Glenda Trivette. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at noon Monday, June 24, in the Whitehead Cemetery, Cable Hollow Road, Butler, Tenn.
