MRS. GERTRUDE PLEASANT...
...46, Doeville, died in Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, Friday morning after a two-month illness. Mrs. Pleasant was a member of the Little Doe Baptist Church.
Survivors include the husband, Kyle; two sons, Truett and Justin of the home; the father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Long, Doeville; two brothers, Ray Long, Akron, O., and Eldridge Long, Crescent City, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel STOUT, Jonesboro, and Mrs. Alice Campbell, Bristol; and a half-brother, Clate Pleasant, Crescent City, Calif.
Funeral services were conducted from Little Doe Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. S. O. Pinkerton, Rev. S. D. Hart, and Rev. C. W. Shirley officiating. Interment was in the family cemetery.
Pallbearers included Argil Rambo, Olan Rambo, Ellis Tucker, Medford Garland, Ross Grindstaff, Ray Stalcup, Robert Gentry, and Tilley Stout. Flower bearers included the Ladies W.M.U. of Little Doe Church.

Gertrude married Kyle L. Pleasant about 1938 in , Giles County, Tennessee, . Kyle (son of Roderick Butler "Judge" Pleasant and Vena Alice Pierce) was born on 14 Oct 1908 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; died about 1981 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
