Ellen Pierce Bradley, 88, of Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Pine Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late James Griffin and Anna May Oliver Pierce and was born in Carter County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lloyd Bradley in 1966; a son, David Bradley; three sisters and four brothers.
She loved keeping her grandchildren and was of the Free Will Baptist Faith.

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Bradley will be conducted on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Larry Garland officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5:00 '96 7:00 PM prior to the service on Wednesday or at the home at other times.

The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Bradley Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet the family at the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Novella Kate Nidiffer, 81, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of Elizabethton, she was the daughter of the late Griffin Pierce and Anna Mae Oliver Pierce.
Novella was of the Freewill Baptist faith. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, working in her plants and flowers and doing word finds. She loved to spend time with her family and loved to read her Bible.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Nidiffer; a daughter, Brenda Garland; a son, Ricky Pierce; an infant daughter, Baby Nidiffer; sisters, Evelyn Richardson, Corren Carden and Ellen Bradley; and brothers, Elige Pierce, Jasper Pierce and Ray Pierce.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Eddie Nidiffer and Larry Nidiffer, and a son-in-law, Rev. Larry Garland, all of Elizabethton; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to honor the life of Novella Kate Nidiffer will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, November 23, in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery with Rev. Bill Greer officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

Mrs. Eva Etta Oliver, 93, 153 Opossum Hollow Road, Elizabethton, died Sunday, February 2, 2003 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John and Minnie Pierce. She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Oliver was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Oliver, April 28, 1989; by two sons, James and Paul Oliver; three daughters, Elsie Arnold, Marie Oliver, and Ruth Oliver; three brothers, Caleb, Ambers, and Charles; three sisters, Sarah, Onie, and Pearl, and three grandchildren.
Survivors include five daughters, Bertha Pea, of Liberty, Ind.; Faye Dugger, of Butler; Sarah Blevins, Onie Williams and Hazel Harding, all of Elizabethton; three sons, Joe Oliver, John Oliver, and Wayne Oliver, all of Elizabethton; one sister, Virginia Hardin, Elizabethton; 25 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Cloa Shope, also survive.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

OLIVER -- Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Etta Oliver, 93, 153 Opossum Hollow Road, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, February 2, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. D.C. Byrd officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2003 in the Buckles Cemetery. Music will be provided by the Smith Sisters. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, will be Mike Barnette, Brian Whitaker, Ken Hammit, Darrell Hardin, Dwayne Batich, and Doug Stucker. It is with mixed emotions that we announce the passing of Willa Dean Pierce, our beloved sister. We are saddened for no longer having her with us here, but overjoyed as she has been reunited with Mom, Dad, Christine and Carroll. Everyone loved Willa and we believe it was this love that kept her with us for 67 years. A native of Carter County and current resident of The Sevier House in Unicoi, she was the daughter of the late Ambers & Maggie Peters Pierce. Willa was a part of the Union Hill FWB Church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister & brother-in-law Christine and W.J. Nave and a brother, Carroll Pierce.
Survivors include a sister: Nadine Crews, Elizabethton, Her brothers: Paul Pierce, William Pierce, both of Elizabethton, and Walter Pierce & his wife Loretta, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with her nephew Rev. Bryan Smith and Rev. Roger Hayley officiating. Interment will follow in the Buckles Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
