    DEATH CLAIMS BUTLER WOMAN
    Mrs. J. D. Robinson, one of Butler's most outstanding women, died early this morning, following a short illness, having contracted pneumonia about a week ago.
    Funeral services will be conducted from the Baptist church at Butler Friday afternoon at two o'clock, the Rev. W. R. Riggle, pastor of the Central Baptist Church at Johnson City, and the Rev. D. B. Bowers, of Chattanooga, officiating. Interment will be made in the Butler Cemetery.
    Surviving are her husband, Dr. J. D. Robinson, Sr.; one daughter Lena Lee Robinson and one son, James D. Robinson, Jr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. McQueen, Butler; seven sisters, Mrs. R. T. Smith, Mrs. Millard Grindstaff, Mrs. Judge Morley, Mrs. Charlie Morley, Butler; Mrs. Grant Matherly, Elizabethton, Mrs. Mollie Waugh, Mountain City, Mrs. Kutz Robinson, Johnson City; three brothers, A. H. McQueen, John McQueen, Butler; Smith McQueen, Mountain City. Mrs. Robinson is the daughter-in-law of Dr. and Mrs. N. D. Robinson of this county, residing in Carter. Three sisters-in-law also survive, Mrs. Tissual Nave and Mrs. Lillie Pleasant, Doeville, Mrs. Zella Rambo, Johnson City.
    Honorary pallbearers who will serve include: Dr. J. R. Dulaney, Dr. West, Dr. Hankin, Dr. Jim Butler, Dr. D. A. Swift, Dre. J. B. Shoun, Dr. G. C. Jones, Dr. J. C. Bowers, Dr. J. C.     Flower bearers will be Katherine Johnson, Heen[Helen?] Ritchie, Irene Dyer, Louise Harris, Isabel Norris, Helen Goodwin, Blanche Slimp, Nannie Collins, Novella Sparks, Pansy Taylor, Anna Bele St. Clair, Mary Clawson, Athea Pimberton, Lattie Sheffield, Anna Mary, Zella Ritchie, Margaret Boland, Edith Boland, Mrs. Arthur Slimp, and Marie Hathaway.
    The deceased was one of the most beloved women in Butler. She was very prominent socially and civically, taking an active part in all the civic work in Butler. A member of the Baptist church. She also took active part in church work.
    Her marriage to Dr. Robinson united two of the oldest families in this section of the state, her father, L. L. McQueen, being a descendant of one of the earliest families of this section.

    Nancy married Dr. James D. Robinson about 1913 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. James (son of Nicholas Daniel Robinson and Nancy L. Arnold) was born about 1887 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
