Kathleen Moody Parrish, age 79, of Marion, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at The McDowell Hospital. Mrs. Parrish was born in Johnson City, TN on July 28, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Robert Moody and Marjorie Lewis Garvan. Kathleen enjoyed sewing, knitting and all kinds of crafts. She loved to feed people through her excellent baking. She loved her family very much and was known to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving Kathleen is her husband of 29 years, Ernie Parrish; two sons, Ron Turner of Marion and Rick Turner and wife Jennifer of Morganton; a daughter Erin Turner of Simi Valley, CA; three brothers, Lee Moody of Morganton, Larry Moody of Texas and Joe Moody of Mobile, Alabama; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 3:00 pm at McDowell Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Brewer officiating.

Kathleen married Richard Frank Turner about 1954, and was divorced in Nov 1970. Richard was born on 30 Mar 1928 in Los Angeles County, , , California; died on 16 May 2010 in Solano County, , , California; was buried in Skyview Memorial Lawn, , Solano County, California.
