  1. 1.  Matthias Waggoner was born about 1720 in Alsace Region, , , Germany; died about 1790 in Davidson County, , , North Carolina.

    Notes:

    Matthias Waggoner (Wagoner,Wagner) and his brothers Andrew, Daniel, Edward and Jacob, travelled from Rotterdam aboard the 'Adventurer', and arrived in New York on 15 September 1740. They moved to Lebanon, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where they had a land grant from King George II of England. After two years, Matthias and Daniel left Pennsylvania for North Carolina, where they built a two-family log cabin on the Yadkin River. Theis brother Edward was killed in the Indian Wars. Andrew was a major in the Rvolutionary war, and settled in Virginia. Jacob remaind in Lebanon where he married and raised his family. See Article #651 in the Johnson County History Book.
