Neal C. Lewis, 52, died at his home on Stoney Creek Sunday afternoon at four o'clock.
Funeral services will be held from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. William L. Bowers at Hunter, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. Arthur Roberts officiating. Interment will be in the Academy Cemetery.
Mr. Lewis is survived by five children: Albert and Tom Lewis, Mrs. William L. Bowers, Mrs. Roy Collins, and Mrs. Floyd Dugger. Other survivors are two brothers, Andy and Isaac Lewis; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Ann Bowers, Mrs. Mollie Lewis, Mrs. Mattie Bowers; also a number of grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Everert Bowers, Monroe Bowers, Emery Bowers, Alf Williams, Charlie Oliver, Mike Williams and Stant Hicks.
Flower bearers will be selected from friends attending the funeral.

DEATHS
Funeral services for Albert Lewis, who died suddenly at his home Thursday morning, will be conducted from the Baptist Church at Hunter on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. E. J. Bramlett and Rev. Lloyd Greer will officiate. Burial will be in Academy Cemetery, Hunter. He is survived by his wife, Sallie Lewis, and five children, Mae, Ruff, Brady, Barbara and Ray, one brother, Tom Lewis of Hunter, and three sisters, Mrs. W. L. Bowers, Mrs. Roby Collins, and Mrs. Floyd Dugger, all of Hunter. Pallbearers will be Ray White, Tom Williams, John Nave, Denton Lyons, Elbert Clemons and Howard Bowers. Flower bearers will be selected from among his friends.
Appalachian Funeral Home will be in charge.

HICKORY, N.C. — Mrs. Eunice Collins Wooten, 78, of Hickory, died Tuesday May 3, 2011, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness.

She was born March 19, 1933, in Carter County, Tn., a daughter of the late Roby and Grace Lewis Collins. Eunice retired as a nurse from Frye Regional Medical Center after many years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Billy and C.J. Wooten.

She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter, Teresa Franklin and husband, Eddie, of Connelly Springs; her son, Keith Wooten, of Hickory. Also surviving are her sister, Willie Frazier, of Elizabethton, Tn.; her grandchildren, Eddie Franklin Jr and wife, Jennifer, Terri Franklin and her great-grandchildren, Sierra, Gavon and Saleen Franklin.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, N.C.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Happy Valley Memorial Park and Gardens, Elizabethton, Tn., with Rev. Wayne Davis officiating.

Memorials may be made to Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.

ELIZABETHTON - Robert Lee Lewis, age 83, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 22, 2019. Robert was born in Elizabethton to the late Thomas J. Lewis and Ruth Wright Lewis.

Robert was a loving and loyal husband and father and was a great fisherman. He was a member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church and was retired from Kennametal, where he had worked for 32 years and had a perfect attendance record. Robert was 2nd in the State as a Golden Glove Boxer and was a blood donor awardee for his many blood donations throughout the years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his many wonderful memories include his wife of 56 years, Judy Lewis, of the home; his son, Shannon Lewis; his grand-dog, Rowdy; one brother, Gordon Lewis; three sisters, Patsy Leonard and husband Bernard, Roma Smith and husband Pat, and Janice Whittaker and husband David; a brother-in-law, Joe Stonecipher and wife Jenny; and three sisters-in-law, Joan Boardman and husband Ted, Diana Edwards and husband Terry and Bobbie Stonecipher.

A service to celebrate the life of Robert Lee Lewis will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Dennis Wilson, officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Thursday.

The graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Teddy Lewis, Ernie Holt, Larry Stout, Eddie Williams, Rick Williams, Chris Whitaker and Todd Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be his fishing buddies, Roger Honeycutt and Melvin Nave.
