    She was a member of the Cumberland Heights Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was born in Church Hill, Tenn., on April 12, 1925 to Sterns and Gerdie Thacker Bombailey. S

    he married Clinton Goins who preceded her in death along with her sister, Mattie Hensley; brothers, Billy Ray, Tillman and Eugene Bombailey.

    She is survived by her son, Jerry (Marjorie) Goins, Chattanooga; daughter, Patricia (Chuck) Brainerd, Zephyrhills, Fla.; sisters, Norma Jean Marshall, Church Hill, Tenn., Fay Green, Baltimore, Md.; brothers, Howard and Albert Bombailey, Church Hill, Tenn.; aunt, Dovie Ramey, Church Hill; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cumberland Heights Seventh-Day Church with Pastor Clyde Leeds officiating with burial to follow in the Cumberland Heights Cemetery. Visitation 4-6 p.m. today at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tenn.

    KINGSPORT - Edward Eugene Bombailey, 65, of 4113 Clearview Street, passed away Wednesday (July 24, 2002) at his home following a brief illness.

    Mr. Bombailey was a life long resident of Hawkins and Sullivan Counties and was of the Baptist faith.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Starnes and Gertie Thacker Bombailey, one grand-daughter, Angie Fleenor, two brothers, Tilman and Billy Ray Bombailey.

    He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Bombailey, Gabriel and Michelle Bombailey, all of Kingsport; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Fleenor, Church Hill; Teresa and Stonach Daniell, Shelia Bombailey, all of Kingsport; Merita and Tommy Browder, Hilton, Virginia; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Bombailey and Howard Bombailey both of Church Hill; four sisters, Mattie Hensley and Norma Jean Marshall both of Church Hill; Louise Goins, Chattanooga, TN; and Faye Greene, Baltimore, Maryland; several nieces and nephews and many friends and special long time friends, Jody, Joyce and David Sloan.

    Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the home of his daughter, Teresa Daniell, 4113 Clearview Street.

    Services will be conducted Thursday at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tommy Browder officiating.

    Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Springs Cemetery.

    Pallbearers will be Matthew Browder, David Browder, Robby Thompson, Shane Daniell, Mike Bombailey and David Sloan.

    Honorary bearers will be David and Darrell Greene.

    CHURCH HILL- Mikel Edward (Mike) Bombailey, 46, born April 15, 1963 left us on Monday, September 28, 2009 at the home of his mother and guardian angel here on earth after a lengthy illness.

    He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, karaoke, music, spending time with his family and friends, and making other people laugh and smile. He was loved and cherished by everyone who knew him. He started out at the first Pizza Plus on center street as manager. He worked construction in and out of town for Bob Dillard and also Hillbro Concepts on up until he could no longer work.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Eugene Bombailey, niece, Angie Fleenor, grandparents, Jack and Vada Ward, Starnes and Gertie Bombailey, and along with many friends.

    He is survived by his mother, Pauline Ward Moore, sons, Michael Allen Bombailey and his fiancé, Danielle Brandon of Kingsport, Aaron Collins and his wife, Amanda of Johnson City, grandchildren, Kayley Bombailey, Patience Collins, sisters, Sheila Bombailey of Kingsport, Marita Browder of Church Hill, Teresa Daniell of Kingsport, Sandra Bombailey of Church Hill, nieces, Jennifer Crawford, Tammy Fleenor, Amber Bombailey, nephews, Matthew and David Browder, Robbie Thompson, Shane Daniell, great nephews, Micheal "Riley" Bombailey, Tyler Hoard, great nieces, Autumn Crawford and Courtney Graham.

    Calling hours are from 6 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the home of his mother, 340 Silver Lake Rd, lot 85, Church Hill.

    Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh and Rev. Jerry Webb officiating.

    Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday at Elm Springs cemetery. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 P.M. to go in procession.

    Pallbearers will be Jamie Ward, Larry Lawson, Randall Lawson, Allen White, William Roberts, and David Sams.

    Honorary bearers will be Tim Rock, William Bellamy, Robin Thompson, and David Patterson.
