    Notes:

    Funeral services for Mildred Lee Carter will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday,
    March 15, 2011, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will
    be the Reverend Bill Crider and the Reverend Bill Ichter. Interment will
    follow at Garden of Memories in Minden. Visitation will be Monday, March 14,
    2011, from 5:00 - 7:30PM at Rose-Neath.

    Mrs. Carter was born on October 7, 1913, in Haynesville, Louisiana, to Exa
    Deloach Lee and Claude C. Lee. She passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011.
    Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ezra S. Carter,
    her son, Tim Carter and her brother, Frank Lee.

    She is survived by her brother, Halen Lee and his wife Lucy of Longview,
    Texas; her son, Ezra S Carter, Jr and wife Diana of Brighton, Michigan;
    grandchildren: Karen Suffecool and husband Dave of Columbus, Ohio; Michelle
    Hoskins and husband Tom of Dayton, Ohio; Ezra S Carter III and wife Crystal of
    Charlotte, North Carolina; Renee LaViness and husband Gene of Broken Arrow,
    Oklahoma; and Myke Carter and wife Lori of Lexington, Kentucky. She is also
    survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

    Mildred led a full life and enjoyed working in her gardens. She had a special
    talent and love for growing many varieties of flowers; especially roses. Many
    of her shared specimen plants grace the lawns of family and friends.

    She lived her life centered around her love and commitment to God and was very
    active in the Minden First Baptist Church. Her unselfish giving to others
    often found her preparing meals for and visiting with shut-ins. Her quick
    laugh and up-beat attitude will be greatly missed by family and friends.

    Serving as pallbearers will be O. D. Cox, Robert Addison, Alton Kiser, Winfred
    Weldon, Bill Funderburk and Ezra S. Carter III.

    Mildred married Ezra Solomon Carter on 12 May 1931 in Taylor, , Columbia County, Arkansas. Ezra (son of Elisha Joseph Goodwin Carter and Carrie Lee Jeffus) was born on 13 Feb 1907 in Hilo, , Bradley County, Arkansas; died on 19 Aug 1973 in Minden, , Webster Parish, Louisiana; was buried in Minden, , Webster Parish, Louisiana.
