MARGARET ETHEL WISEMAN

SPRUCE PINE - Margaret Ethel Wiseman, 88, of George
Lane, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004 at her home. She was
the daughter of the late Wilber and Sester Ledford
Tolley, and wife of the late George L. Wiseman. She
was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lottie Sue
McClellan; and three grandchildren. She was a member
of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Leona Ingram of Marion,
Donna Mae Chappel of Spruce Pine, Anna Maney and Pam
Carswell, both of Morganton, and Ruby Tyree of
Newland; sons, Tony and James Wiseman, both of Spruce
Pine, Phil Wiseman of St. Louis, MO, Paul McClellan
Jr. of Morganton, and Jack McClellan of Nebo; 29
grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; and 18 great
great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the
Grindstaff Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in
Spruce Pine. Revs. Doug Phillips and James Martin
officiated. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery. The
family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home.

Margaret married George L. Wiseman about 1948 in , Avery County, North Carolina, . George (son of Eben Ensor Wiseman and Margaret Eva (Wiseman)) was born on 10 Feb 1899 in Mitchell County, , , North Carolina; died on 25 Mar 1973 in Mitchell County, , , North Carolina; was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, , Mitchell County, North Carolina.
