    MOUNTAIN CITY - Madge Marie Johnson Nave, age 101, of 5200 Roan Creek Road, Mountain City passed away on February 23, 2017. She was born October 25, 1915 in Johnson Hollow, Mountain City, TN to the late F.E. (Ed) Johnson and Maud Wagner Johnson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Worley Nave and by her precious twins, Eddy Nave of Elizabethton in 2002 and Judy Nave of Mountain City in 2008; special daughter-in-law, Brenda McQueen Nave of Elizabethton; sister, Rebecca Johnson Reece and husband Kermit Reece; brother, Martin Johnson and wife Hazel; sister-in-law, Nell Nave Rambo and husband Ohlan Rambo, and parents-in-law, Charlie and Ninnie Nave.

    Surviving loved ones include her loving daughter Mary Nave, of the home; niece, Susie Johnson Stovall and husband Charles; nephew, Charles Johnson and wife Luise; niece, Pat Rambo Luther; nephew Bob Rambo and wife Grace, and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

    She was a member of the Pleasant View Christian Church and attended First Christian Church of Mountain City. She retired after 30 years as a teacher in the Johnson County School System. She graduated from Johnson County High School, Virginia Intermont College, and E.T.S.U. She was also an artist.

    All are welcome to the graveside service and interment for Madge Marie Johnson Nave on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from the Mountain View Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dwayne Dickson, Pastor Ken Caswell, and Associate Pastor James Bowman officiating.

    Charles Edward "Eddy" Nave, 56, 101 Revere Circle, Elizabethton, died unexpectedly Friday, October 4, 2002 in St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W. Va. He was a native of Johnson County and was the son of Madge Johnson Nave, Neva Community, Mountain City, and the late Worley Nave. He was a member of Pleasant View Christian Church, Neva Community and attended Elizabethton Church of Christ. Mr. Nave was employed as a service representative for the C & C X-ray Company, Knoxville, TN. Mr. Nave was a 1964 graduate of Johnson County High School and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
    Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Brenda McQueen Nave, of the home; a twin sister, Judy Nave, Mountain City; and a sister, Mary Nave, of Danville, Ca.; one brother-in-law, Glen McQueen, Elizabethton; his father and mother-in-law, Ivan and Jean McQueen, Elizabethton, and one nephew, Ryan McQueen, Tampa, Fla.

    NAVE -- Graveside services for Charles Edward "Eddy" Nave, 56, 101 Revere Circle, Elizabethton, who died Friday, October 4, 2002, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2002 in the Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain City, TN with Mr. Eddie Craft, minister, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain City, TN. Active pallbearers will be selected from friends. Honorary pallbearers will be fellow employees of the C & C X-Ray Company and men of the Elizabethton Church of Christ. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2002 to go in procession to the cemetery.

    Charles married Brenda Diane McQueen on 18 Oct 1974 in Carter County, , , Tennessee.
