    Notes:

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, our precious mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Norma Jean (Irick) Campbell, was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband and daughter at the age of 81. Born in Carter County, Tenn., on September 5, 1941, Norma was a daughter of the late Dallas Carroll Irick and Anna Mae “Annie” (Hicks) Irick. Norma was the wife of the late Jack Campbell. Also preceding her in death is her youngest daughter, Carol Ann (Campbell) Guinn; her brothers, Glasco Irick, Haley Irick and Charles Irick; and five sisters, Willa May Morrison, Dorothy Dugger, Pauline Swift, Lena Andrews and Maxine Hardin.
A wonderful and loving Christian lady, Norma was a precious matriarch of her family. She was a true example of a loving and devoted wife and mother to her husband and children. Norma worked tirelessly tending to her home inside and outside and had beautiful rhododendrons in her yard, but moreover she had love in her home. Norma lived in the Buntontown Community of Butler, where she raised her children, until her health declined and she moved to Hudson, N.C., with her oldest daughter. Norma was a staple in her community and will be dearly missed.
Norma retired from Chetola Resort and was a devoted member of Centerview Church of Christ. She loved reading her Bible and going to church both to hear the message of God and to fellowship with her church family and friends. A lover of bluegrass music, Norma enjoyed going to various bluegrass festivals with her family, but most of all Norma enjoyed her family time with her great-grandchildren and watching them play sports. In her spare time she liked doing crossword puzzles.
Those left to continue and cherish Norma’s wonderful memories include her daughter and loving caretaker, Lisa Diane (Campbell) Potter and husband Gary of Hudson, N.C.; her grandchildren, whom she was very proud of, Jason Potter, Joshua Potter and Jonathan Guinn; five great-grandchildren, who brought so much joy to her, Jackson Potter, Jase Potter, Macy Potter, Jake Potter and Jep Potter; and several nieces and nephews, along with many friends, church family and past and present neighbors.
A service to remember and celebrate Norma’s life will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 6, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Mr. David Irick, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1 until 2:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.
Norma’s graveside service will follow in the Whitehead Cemetery (Cable Hollow Road) in Butler. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Norma’s special nephews and many other beloved family and friends.

Norma married Jack C. Campbell about 1959. Jack (son of John Frank Campbell and Rosa Caroline Ward) was born on 5 Nov 1924 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; died on 25 Jun 2006 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Whitehead Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee.
