MRS. BESSIE GARRISON
Mrs. Bessie Garrison, age 51, died at her home at Valley Forge, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Garrison was the widow of the late W. C. Garrison. She was a native of Carter county and a member of the Christian church.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Ina Keller; five sons, Roy, Robert, Kale and Clarence of Valley Forge, and Earnest of Stoney Creek; one brother, W. L. Headrick, Valley Forge; three sisters, Miss Fannie Headrick, Mrs. N. T. Williams, Mrs. James Treadway, Valley Forge; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Christian church at Valley Forge Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with the Rev. John Meredith and Rev. John Hall officiating. Burial will be in Smith cemetery.
Active pallbearers: Arthur Treadway, Clayton Williams, Paul Headrick, Bruce Bowers, Earnest Meredith, Fred Williams, John Van Huss and Carl Treadway.
The flowerbearers[sic] will be the members of Mrs. Garrison's Sunday school class.
The body will be removed from the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home to the home Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock.

ELIZABETHTON -- Clarence Earl Garrison, 78, 1628 Central Ave., died Saturday, Aug. 26, 1995, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was a Carter County native and a son of the late W.C. and Bessie Headrick Garrison.
Mr. Garrison was a former employee of Elizabethton Steam Laundry and Freeman Taylor Laundry. He retired from Tennessee Chair Co.
He was a member of east Side Christian Church.
Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Garrison; one stepdaughter, Evelyn Richardson, Elizabethton; one brother, Cale Garrison, Elizabethton; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson, Brandon Derr, Elizabeththon; and several nieces and nephews.

ELIZABETHTON - Oscar Cale Garrison, 87, 115 Meredith Drive, Elizabethton, died at his residence Wednesday morning, May 10, 2006.

A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Cling and Bessie Headrick Garrison. Mr. Garrison was a member of Valley Forge Christian Church and a former Elder for forty years.

Mr. Garrison was retired from Univac. He was a Air Force Veteran of World War II, an avid fisherman and loved to work in his garden. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of fifty six years, Pauline Oliver Garrison; Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Clay Bailey and Mr. Jason Birchfield officiating. Graveside and Interment will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of Valley Forge Christian Church. Honorary Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews and his church family. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel prior to the service hour. Friends may also call at the residence at any time.

Oscar married Pauline Oliver about 1950 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Pauline (daughter of Dana E. "Denney" Oliver and Anna Nidiffer) was born about 1928 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 29 Mar 2014 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Happy Valley Memorial Park, , Carter County, Tennessee.
