    ELIZABETHTON — Raymond Tolley, 88, Elizabethton passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, in the Pine Ridge Care & Rehab Center.

    A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Dave & Julie Hilman Tolley. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed at North American Rayon Corporation for 32 years and retired from Kennametal. Raymond was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Pauline Haldren Tolley; two sisters, Ruth Tolley and Ethel Hayes; and two brothers, Phillip Tolley and Zeke Tolley.

    Survivors include a son, Adrian Raymond Tolley; his nephews, Billy Tolley, Johnson City, Dean Tolley, and Douglas Tolley both of Elizabethton, Zeke Tolley, Jr., Hampton and Jimmy Calfee, Hilton Head, South Carolina; his nieces, Patsy Johnson Elizabethton and Aleta Williams, Danville, Virginia; his sister-in-law, Mary Tolley, Elizabethton.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Gary Johnson, Wesley Johnson, Dean Tolley, Zeke Tolley, Jr., Walt Slagle and Henry Williams.

    The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the Pine Ridge Care & Rehab Center, The Staff & Dr. Jaishankar Onocology office, Johnson City and members of the Pleasant Beach Baptist Church.

    Raymond married Pauline Vernie Haldren about 1948 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Pauline was born about 1921 in Bluefield, , , West Virginia; died on 19 Jul 2012 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Happy Valley Memorial Park, , Carter County, Tennessee.     ‘I LOVE YOU’ Adrian Raymond Tolley, 71, Elizabethton, went to be with his Lord unexpectedly Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the residence of his cousin and her husband Patsy “Sis” & Gary Johnson. Adrian was born January 5, 1950 in Carter County to the late Raymond & Pauline Haldren Tolley. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. Adrian loved to attend his church where he was a member, Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. He loved Gospel Music, Model Cars, going to the Beach and spending time with his family.

    Survivors include One Aunt: Mary Tolley. His Cousins: Patsy “Sis” and Gary Johnson, Wesley, Alison, Josie & Hayden Johnson, Dean & Louise Tolley, all of Elizabethton, Billy Tolley, Johnson City, Zeke, Jr & Mike Tolley, of Hampton and Aleta & Henry Williams, Dalesville, Virginia.

    A Service to Celebrate the life of Adrian Tolley will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with his longtime friend and Pastor Bobby Stout officiating. The Eulogy will be given by Debbie Burchette. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Scott Hayes officiating. Music will be provided by Tawana Holland. Active Pallbearers will be: Gary Johnson, Wesley Johnson, Shannon Burchette, Stephen Brickey, Steve Tolley and Chris Grindstaff . Honorary Pallbearers will be his church family and his many friends.
