    JOHN R. ESTEP
    John R. Estep, 78, of Siam, died Saturday afternoon after a six weeks illness. Mr. Estep was a member of Siam Baptist Church and formerly a Deacon of the Little Doe Baptist Church and the East Side Baptist Church. Mr. Estep served as a magistrate on the County Court of Johnson County for twelve years.
    Survivors are his wife, Cordelia of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Othan Arnold of Rt. 5, and Miss Annie Estep of the home; six sons, Wilburn Estep of Doeville; Spencer Estep of the home; James of Bluff City, Nick Estep of Watauga; Maynard Estep of Rt. 2; Haskel Estep of Fort Worth, Texas, and sixteen grandchildren, and a brother, Murry Estep of Rt. 5.
    Funeral services will be conducted from the Siam Baptist Church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Willis R. Allen officiating, and Rev. J. J. Richardson and Rev. T. B. Freeman assisting, with burial in the family cemetery at the home.
    Pallbearers are: George Estep, Will Estep, Elbert Estep, Lonnie Estep, Junior Hardin, Landon Taylor, Seth Campbell and Winford Campbell. Flower girls will be the nieces.
    The body will be taken to the home Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the chapel of the Tetrick Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 12:30 Monday to lie in state until the funeral hour.

    Lillian Estep Lowe, age 90 of Mountain City, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was a native of Johnson County and was born July 13, 1931 to the late Wilburn and Golda Estep. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer H. Lowe, Sr. and brother, Jay G. Estep. Survivors include her daughter, Frances Lowe Hodges and husband Gordon of Smyrna, Georgia; son, Delmer H. Lowe, Jr. and wife Beverly of Mountain City; one sister, Betty Huddleston of Butler; one brother, Hillie Estep of Atlanta, Georgia and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and previously active in the Auxiliary of Gideon’s International.

    The graveside service for Lillian will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 from the Nave Family Cemetery (Siam Rd.) with Rev. Dennis Peterson to officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Huddleston, Stan Estep, Ken Estep, Donny Rankins, Bob Voorting, Scott Estep, Eric Estep, and Darian Chancellor.

    Annie married Delmer Haynes Lowe on 14 Jun 1949 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Delmer (son of William Franklin Lowe and Verna Mae Shoun) was born on 5 May 1924 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; died on 20 Jan 1993 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
