    ELIZABETHTON — Jack C. Campbell, 81, 130 Earl Avenue, Elizabethton, died Sunday, June 25, 2006 in the Hermitage Health Care Center.

    A native of Johnson County, he was the son of the late John Frank and Rosa Ward Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a member of Stout Hill Church of Christ and a retired logger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

    Survivors include his wife, Norma Irick Campbell; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol Ann and John Guin, and Edith Guy of Elizabethton and Lisa and Gary Potter of Hudson, N.C.; three grandsons, Jason and Joshua Potter and Jonathan Guin. Two brothers, Joe Campbell of Hampton and Jim Campbell of Butler.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. David Irick officiating. Graveside and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2006 in Whitehead Cemetery. Music will be provided by the Laurel Creek Trio.

    Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday will be: Jason Potter, Joshua Potter, John Guin, Gary Potter, Eddie Clawson and Donnie Cable. Honorary Pallbearers will be friends of the family, members of Stout Hill Church of Christ, special co-workers, Dagil Moody and Paul Clawson.

    The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel prior to the service hour. Friends may also call at the residence at any time. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday. Military honors will be provided by the Tennessee National Guard.

    Jack married Norma Jean Irick about 1959. Norma (daughter of Dallas Carrol Irick and Anna Mae Hicks) was born on 5 Sep 1941; died on 2 Nov 2022; was buried in Whitehead Cemetery, Carter County, Tennessee, . [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Helen Ward Huffman, 77, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.
    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Hilda Heaton Ward.
    In earlier years, Helen was a truck driver. In more recent years she was a health care provider. She loved to make people laugh and play jokes on them. She was a member of Borderview Christian Church.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Douglas Montgomery.
    Survivors include her son, William Thomas “Billy” Montgomery and wife Angie, Johnson City; a step-son, Keith Wayne Huffman and wife Sherry; three grandchildren, Timbra (Eric) Wright, Ashley Huffman and husband Kayode Awowoyin, and Cody Howell (Cassie) Huffman; four great-grandchildren, C.J., Charlie, Cleo and Mac; and two sisters, Martha “Teen” Ward Walsh and Mildred Ward Winters. Several nieces also survive.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Lyons officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, at Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section).
