Cora Davis Arnold. . .
Cora Davis Arnold, age 86 of Butler, Route 3, died at her home Friday at 9:30 a.m. after a long illness. She was a native of Johnson County, the daughter of the late John and Mary Fletcher Davis.
Survivors include the husband, Grant Arnold, Butler; three sons, Windon Arnold and Stansell Arnold, both Butler, and J.L. Arnold, Johnson City; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Pleasant and Mrs. Wilburn Estep, both Butler; two brothers, Chester Davis and Clay Davis, both of Butler; one sister, Mrs. Seth Robinson, Elizabethton; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted from Little Doe Baptist Church Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Kyker officiating. Burial was in Rambo cemetery.
Pallbearers were J.E. Arnold, Park Arnold, Elwood Arnold, Medford Garland, Argil Rambo, Junior Greer, C.J. Matherly and Frank Shupe. Flowerbearers[sic] were ladies of the church and neighbors.

Butler — Windom E. Arnold, age 91, of 411 Pine Orchard Road, Butler, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 6th, 2004, at the Mountain City Health Center following an extended illness. He was a native of Johnson County. He was born September 17th, 1912, to the late Grant and Cora Davis Arnold. Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Campbell Arnold; sisters, Goldie Estep and Onnie Pleasant; and Brothers, Lawton and Stancil Arnold. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and was a self-employed sawmill owner for many years. Mr. Arnold is survived by 2 daughters, Ilene Breeding and Husband, Doug, Bristol, Va., Norma Newton and Husband, Kenneth, Bluff City, Tn.; 1 son, Bud Arnold and wife, Helen, Butler, Tennessee; 7 Grandchildren: Gregg and Stephen Breeding, David Arnold, Dianna Luckett, Donna Fritts, Jessica Whiteaker and Rebecca Newton; 7 Great-Grandchildren: Jordan, Grace and Anna Breeding, Ashley and Nathan Arnold, Trevor and Haden Luckett. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Windom E. Arnold will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 7th, 2004, in the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Henson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m., prior to services. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 8th, 2004, from the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Stansell A. Arnold, 83, 436 Pine Orchard Road, Butler, died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at his residence after a brief illness. Mr. Arnold was a native of Johnson County and a son of the late Grant and Cora Davis Arnold. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Golda Estep, and a brother, Lawton Arnold. Mr. Arnold retired from the Johnson County Highway Department. Since his retirement, he had been employed by the U.S. Forestry Service as Caretaker at Backbone Rock. Lillian Estep Lowe, age 90 of Mountain City, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was a native of Johnson County and was born July 13, 1931 to the late Wilburn and Golda Estep. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer H. Lowe, Sr. and brother, Jay G. Estep. Survivors include her daughter, Frances Lowe Hodges and husband Gordon of Smyrna, Georgia; son, Delmer H. Lowe, Jr. and wife Beverly of Mountain City; one sister, Betty Huddleston of Butler; one brother, Hillie Estep of Atlanta, Georgia and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and previously active in the Auxiliary of Gideon’s International.

The graveside service for Lillian will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 from the Nave Family Cemetery (Siam Rd.) with Rev. Dennis Peterson to officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Huddleston, Stan Estep, Ken Estep, Donny Rankins, Bob Voorting, Scott Estep, Eric Estep, and Darian Chancellor.

Shirley Wright Pierce, 80, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in Charlottesville, Va. Shirley was born in Johnson County, Tenn., to the late Stansell Arthur Arnold and Alice Wanda Ruth Stout Arnold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Wright.
Shirley was a loving, Christian wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of Centerview Church of Christ. She had worked as an administrative assistant and enjoyed dancing, spending time with her family and friends and going to eat at Joe's Crab Shack.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Sonny E. Pierce, of the home; her son, Eric Wright and wife Leisa of Elizabethton; her stepson, Christopher Julian Pierce, also of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Jeremy Wright and wife Natalie, Jonathan Wright and Robert Allen Pierce, all of Elizabethton, and Keisha Ann Pierce of Nashville; her great-grandson, Luke Wright of Elizabethton; and her brothers and sisters, Ross Arnold and wife Carolyn and Maxine Corum, all of Mountain City, and Brenda Reece and husband Roland and Roy Arnold and wife Mary, all of Butler. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Shirley Wright Pierce will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, May 20, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. David Irick and Mr. Roby Ellis, ministers, officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, or at the residence at any time. The graveside service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, in the Ensor Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
