    Thomas R. Bradshaw
    Thomas R. Bradshaw, 93, formerly of 500 West Mill Street, Elizabethton,
    died Friday, August 18, 2006, at Hermitage Health Center after an extended
    illness.

    Mr. Bradshaw was a native of Carter County and the son of the late William
    and Madge Deloach Bradshaw.

    Mr. Bradshaw attended First Free Will Baptist Church of Elizabethton. He
    was an employee of North American Rayon Corporation for over 40 years.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Berdie
    Barnett Bradshaw, February 3, 1984. He was also preceded in death by a
    daughter, Charlotte Bradshaw White; a grandson, Stephen Rasnick; four sisters,
    Laura Noel, Rachel Bradshaw, Ina Maude Bradshaw and Grace Katherine Campbell;
    three brothers, George Elbert Bradshaw, John Ed Bradshaw and James Bradshaw;
    and two sons-in-law, Howell Rasnick and Lewis White.

    Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Dorothy Rasnick,
    Watauga, and Rita and Tim Holtsclaw, Hampton, and a son and daughter-in-law,
    James "Sam" and Jeannette Bradshaw, Elizabethton. Eight grandchildren, 11
    great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and
    nephews also survive.

    The funeral service for Mr. Bradshaw will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday,
    August 20, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Nick
    Bradshaw officiating. Music will be under the direction of JoAnn Campbell,
    pianist, and James "Bo" Campbell, soloist. The graveside service and interment
    will be Sunday, following the service, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active
    pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tommy Range, Daniel
    Range, Allen Rasnick, Thomas Ledford, Drew Barker and Brad Barker. The family
    will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to
    the service. Those who prefer may make memorial donations to the First Free
    Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 706 First Street, Elizabethton TN 37643.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hermitage
    Health Center for their loving care of Mr. Bradshaw.

    A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Madge Deloach Bradshaw. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three brothers and three sisters.

    Ms. Bradshaw was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Elizabethton School System.

    Survivors include a brother, Tom Bradshaw, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

    She was born in Elizabethton, TN, on January 18, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Dayton and Sally Deloach Elliott.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. "Tommy" Neece, in 2006; a brother and sister-in-law, Thurman and Nova Elliott; and two nephews, T.J. Elliott and Patrick Elliott.
    Mrs. Neece was a homemaker and a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. She graduated from Elizabethton High School and Steed College. She worked several years in the Carter County School System as a secretary and a county lunchroom supervisor.
    She was an avid lover of animals and enjoyed gardening.
    Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Marilyn Neece, Greeneville, TN, and Steve Neece, Murfreesboro, TN; one granddaughter, Leslie Hedges, of Johnson City; one grandson, John Douglas Neece and wife, Amanda, Murfreesboro, TN; three great granddaughters, Laci and Lexi Hedges, Johnson City, and Kaylee Neece, Murfreesboro, TN; two great grandsons, Caleb Hughes, of Johnson City, and Austin Kelley, Murfreesboro, TN; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Elwood "Woodie" and Jane Neece, Lillian, AL.
    The funeral service for Mrs. Neece will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2013, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. John Perkins and Rev. Mike Richards, officiating.
    The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Thursday.
    The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 24, 2013, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be John D.     Kathryn Bradshaw Peters, 93, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 6, 2018, from Johnson City Medical Center. Kathryn was born in Carter County to the late George and Virginia Bowers Bradshaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Peters, and her brother, Robert Bradshaw.
    Kathryn was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church for many years, where she had taught Bible School and sang in the church choir. Kathryn especially enjoyed playing bingo at Ivy Hall Nursing Home.
    Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Michael Peters and wife Billie, Elizabethton, and Rick Peters, also of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Russell Bennett, Randall Bennett, Kristi Colbaugh, Kara McGhee and Renee` Garland; 10 great-grandchildren; and one niece, Patty Russell.

    A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late John Edward and Zella Jewell Osborne Bradshaw.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Barbara A. Hodge Bradshaw, March 20, 2006, and an infant brother, Jimmy Bradshaw.

    Mr. Bradshaw served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in 1950-1954.

    He worked as a mechanic for Rainbo Bakery for 36 plus years.

    Mr. Bradshaw was an avid fisherman and hunter and also a member of the Gamecock Club.

    He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Elizabethton.

    Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Debora Pate and Jessie Dean Pate Sr. and Sharon and Bruce Hall, all of Johnson City, and Lisa and Ronald Ragan of Gray; a son, Billy Joe Bradshaw Jr. of Johnson City; a sister, Jean Carolyn Johnson of Elk Hart, Ind.; six grandchildren, Jessie Dean Pate Jr., Heather Nunley, Andy Hall, Joshua Ragan, Marsha Bradshaw and Billie Bradshaw, and a step-grandchild, Joey Culbert; five great-grandchildren, Tempia Kate Nunley, Allison Rose Nunley, Emmalee Grace Nunley, Macie Nunley and Shannon LeAnn Bradshaw; and a special niece and nephew, Martha Shatley and Johnny Crowe Jr.

    A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Bradshaw will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City, with Rev. C.W. Snodgrass officiating and Martha Shatley delivering the eulogy. Music will be under the direction of The Dugger Family. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.

    WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Betty Jean Campbell Kyte, 90, fell asleep in the arms of Christ Jesus her Lord and Savior on September 13, 2022. She was born on August 9, 1932 in Elizabethton, Tenn., and moved to Williamsburg, Va., in 1955 where she stayed.
    Betty was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church and she continued to worship there until recent months. She retired from York County Public Schools where she served for many years as a kindergarten aid at Magruder and Waller Mill Schools. Betty’s passion in life was raising her five children as Christians and, along with her husband, providing a stable, loving family home. Later, grandchildren became another passion. Betty was always there to assist with taking her grandchildren to school, Fife & Drum practice, having “cousin sleepovers,” singing old-time songs, and preparing holiday meals.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Kyte; parents, Taft and Grace Bradshaw Campbell; sisters, Mary Evelyn Taylor, Georgia Berry and Carolyn Richards; brothers, Bruce Campbell and Bobby Campbell; grandson, Adam Kyte; and daughter-in-law, Philippia “Happy” Hull Kyte.
    Betty leaves behind siblings, Bo, Paul, Peggy Richardson, Harold and Darrell Ann Fair; children, Greg Kyte (Debbi), John Kyte (Kathy), Rusty Kyte, Karen Helderman (Mike) and Jason Kyte (Amber); grandchildren, Ben Kyte, Spenser Kyte, Trevor Helderman (Jennifer), Harrison Kyte, Daniel Helderman, Jessica Horne and Nathan Horne; great-grandchildren, Evie, Shannun and Levi; and a special sister-in-law, Judy Campbell.

    ELIZABETHTON - James Spencer “Bo” Campbell, age 88, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Ivy Hall Nursing Home. Bo was born in Elizabethton to the late Taft and Grace (Bradshaw) Campbell. In addition to his parents, Bo was also preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann (Hughes) Campbell; five sisters, Mary Evelyn Taylor, Georgia Berry, Betty Kyte, Peggy Richardson and Carolyn Richards; a brother, Bobby Campbell; and an infant brother, Bruce Campbell.

    Bo was a graduate of Elizabethton High School- Class of 1953 where he was named All State Guard and outstanding athlete in both basketball and track. Bo owned and operated Church Pew Padding by Campbell and had been in the upholstering business since the 1950s. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Elizabethton where he had previously served as choir leader. Bo also attended Knob Creek Church of the Brethren where he had also served as a choir leader. He was a member of the Gideons and had served as an official for TSSAA Football and basketball. Bo enjoyed fishing, his friends at Lingerfelt Group, spending time with his family and gospel music. Most of all he loved his family and cherished the time spent with them and especially his grandchildren.

    Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Cathy Curtis and Jo Ellen Campbell and fiancé Craig McNeil all of Elizabethton; his son, Marc Campbell and wife Laura of Easley, SC; his grandchildren, Andy Curtis and Erica, Ryan Curtis, Hunter Pierson and Brianna, Anna Grace Campbell, Jacob Stokes and Joshua Stokes; his great granddaughter, Avery Curtis; two brothers, Paul Campbell and wife Wanda of Apex, NC and Harold Bill Campbell and wife Lorraine of Elizabethton; a sister, Darrell Ann Fair and husband Packy of Elizabethton; a special sister-in-law, Judy Campbell of Johnson City; and a brother-in-law, Ted Hughes of Johnson City. Several nieces, nephews, along with his special neighbors, Steve and Geneva Burrough and Ken and Diane Long also survive.

    A service to celebrate and honor Bo’s life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Reverend Phil Poston officiating. Music will be under the direction of Grady and Alecia Holder. The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Tuesday.     JOHNSON CITY - Bobby Lee Campbell, age 74, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Johnson City Medical Center, following a brief illness. Bobby was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee to the late Taft and Grace Bradshaw Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Evelyn Taylor and Carolyn Richards; and one brother, Bruce Campbell.

    Bobby was a devoted husband, who loved his family and passionately cared for them. He loved his God, family and his flag and loved helping others. Bobby had worked for Wells Fargo as an armed guard then became part owner of Capital Armored Services, when he retired. He proudly served his country in the Tennessee Army National Guard and was a member of Elizabethton Church of Christ. Bobby, along with his wife, competed in many marathons all over the United States and internationally, having ran in more than 50 marathons. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

    Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 52 ½ years, Judy Harmon Campbell; four sisters, Georgia Berry, of Elizabethton, Betty Kyte, of Williamsburg, VA, Peggy Richardson, of Johnson City and Darrell Ann Fair (Packy), of Elizabethton; three brothers, James S. “Bo” Campbell (JoAnn), of Elizabethton, Paul Campbell (Wanda), of Apex, NC and Harold Bill Campbell (Lorraine), of Elizabethton. Also, many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, as well as his special friends, Janice and Copeland Hicks.

    Billy Joe Bowling, 82, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, from a lengthy illness. Joe was the son of the late Herman and Mary Bowling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Bowling, and a brother, Sonny Bowling.
    Joe attended Englewood Christian Church. He retired from the Elizabethton Star Newspaper where he served many years as the sports editor.
    In addition to being sports editor, Joe had served as a newspaper carrier, a photographer, reporter, and a brief stint from 1979 to 1982 as editor of the Elizabethton Star. He was well-known in the community, having served as Director of the Carter County Boys Club and as a director of the Elizabethton Housing Authority board. He was an avid Elizabethton Cyclones fan. Joe graduated from Elizabethton High School, where he played football.
    In 2012 he was named to the Carter County Sports Hall of Fame for his 40-years plus as a sports writer.
    He was also a supporter of the Elizabethton Parks and Rec boxing program during years past. Joe coached many ball teams from Little League to Boys Club teams.
    Joe is survived by three sons, Mike Bowling and wife Lisa of Indianapolis, Mark Bowling and wife Christine of Kingsport, and Matt Bowling and wife Sarah of Johnson City; seven grandchildren, Joe Bowling and wife Mary, Josh Bowling and wife Amanda, Jake Bowling and wife Kendra, and Jordan Bowling, all of Indianapolis, Chris Bowling and wife Krissy of Elizabethton, Craig Bowling of Elizabethton and Zoe Bowling of Kingsport. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Larry Bowling and Bob Bowling, and two sisters, Kathy Smith and Brenda Hawks, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    His family will gather in Indianapolis to celebrate his life and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Tennessee for family and friends

    Brenda was a homemaker and a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church, although she attended Little Doe Freewill Baptist Church. She loved her kindle, watching MASH, Andy Griffith, Gunsmoke, the Game Show Network and most of all she loved her grandchildren.
    Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 43 years, Albert Daniel Hawks Jr., of the home; two daughters, Michelle Bailey and husband Matthew of Greeneville and Beth Wheeler and husband Matthew of Elizabethton; one son, Albert Daniel Hawks III of Elizabethton; two grandsons, Tyler Stansberry and Alex Wheeler; two granddaughters, Sierra Bailey and Savana Bailey; one sister, Kathy Ann Bowling-Smith of Elizabethton; and two brothers, Bobby Gene Bowling and Larry Wayne Bowling, both of Elizabethton.     Larry “Bobo” Bowling went home to be in the presence of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at his residence at the age of 79. Larry was a lifelong resident of Elizabethton and was born December 9, 1942 to the late Herman C. Bowling and Mary White Bowling. In addition to his parents, Larry has been reunited with his loving wife, Sherry Lou Smith Bowling, who departed this life on September 10, 2013; three brothers, Joe Bowling, Bob Bowling and Sonny Bowling; and one sister, Brenda Hawks.
    Larry attended Elizabethton High School, during which time he was a four-year varsity player in Basketball and Track and Field. After graduating from Elizabethton High School in 1963, Larry first attended Hiwassee Junior College and then later Milligan College, continuing his athletic career in college. Upon completing his education, Larry dedicated his life to serving others. Between his active duty and reserve service, Larry served his country in the United States Army for 38 years. He returned home to Carter County and began a career as a teacher and coach. His teaching career lasted for just over 40 years. Larry began racking up accolades as a high school coach and a TSSAA official. He was part of several championship tournament teams, including the 2004 boys basketball State Champion team, the 2017-18 girls basketball state tournament team, and the 2018 girls softball state tournament team. Larry was honored by the TSSAA for serving 53 years as a TSSAA Football Official.
    Larry has spent his life demonstrating a deep devotion to his family, to his community, and to helping others.
    Those left to cherish and remember Larry’s legacy are his two children, Kevin (Ashley) Bowling of Jonesborough and Heather (Eric) Tester of Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Payton Tester and Paisley Bowling; his sister, Kathy (Mike) Smith of Elizabethton; his favorite brother-in-law, Eddie Smith of Elizabethton; and his favorite sister-in-law, Vickie Smith of Elizabethton. Several nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and church family also mourn his loss.

    Sonny was a native of Carter County and was a son of the late Herman Carl Bowling and Mary White Bowling.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a canine pal, Santa Fe Bowling.

    Sonny retired from the Elizabethton Electric System and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a member of the Tennessee Moose Association, where he attained the Fellowship Degree, which is the highest degree of the Moose. He loved to play golf and loved animals. Sonny enjoyed spending time with his family and special friends and music – He was Dena and Garrett's biggest fan.

    She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and a former CNA.

    Mrs. Jones was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a hospice volunteer caregiver and a member of Fairview Freewill Baptist Church.

    She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Lee and her husband, F. Gordon, Fairfax Station, VA, Teresa Hicks and her husband, Larry, Jonesborough; two sons, James "Tom" Jones and his wife, Amy, Elizabethton, Robert "Butch" Jones and his wife, Joyce, Johnson City; five sisters, Carolyn Campbell, Patricia Collins, Ivy Williams, Pearl Hilton, Betty Hopson; four brothers, Earl Williams, Bob Williams, Harold Williams, Carl Williams; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.     Carl "Red" Howard Williams, 71, of Watauga, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, February 4, 2013, at his residence.

    Carl was known by many names, "Fuzz," "Red," Dad, Pappy and Papaw, but no matter what he was called, all that knew him, loved him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

    He was the son of the late George L. and Margaret Bowling Williams.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Monnie Morton Williams, in 2010; two sisters, Lena Jones and Sandra Brock; and his brother, Earl Williams, who preceded just hours before.

    Mr. Williams was retired, having worked twenty eight years at North American Rayon Corporation, Thomasville Furniture, and most recently for the Johnson City School System in the maintenance division. He attended Valley Forge Freewill Baptist Church.

    His pride and joy was his grandsons, Austin and Chandler Clark.

    Survivors include a daughter, Carlena Clark and husband, Bobby, and two grandsons, Austin and Chandler, all of Johnson City; five sisters, Iva Lee Williams and husband, Jewel, Mountain City, Carolyn Campbell and husband, Henry, Pearl Hilton, Patricia Collins and husband, Donnie, and Betty Hopson, all of Elizabethton; two brothers, Harold Williams and wife, Nell, Panama City, FL, and Robert Williams and wife, Dorothy, Hampton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    The celebration of life service for Mr. Williams will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, in the Riverside Chapel at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating.

    The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service. Music will be under the direction of Donna Shepherd, Loren Harris and Kevin Collins.

    The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 7, 2013, in the Lyons Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Hilton, Buster Lyons, J.R. Bunton, Kevin Collins, Jewel Williams and Charles Morton. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM on Thursday to go in procession.

    Peggy Jean Ward Martin, age 71, Elizabethton passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010 at James H. and Cecile C. Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital following a brief illness.
    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Frances Bowling Ward. Mrs. Martin attended Oak Street Baptist Church. She was a Program Clerk at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center Hospital and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul H. Campbell, in 1982, her second husband, Harry L. “Buddy” Martin in 1998.
    Survivors include three brothers. Several nieces and nephews, a special great nephew and a great great niece also survive.
    Funeral service for Mrs. Peggy Jean Ward Martin, will be conducted at 7 P.M. Monday, July 5, 2010 in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Steve Waycaster and Mr. Jack Ward, officiating.     Charles “Bud” Earl Ward, Sr., age 74, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from his residence. “Bud” was born in Elizabethton on February 11, 1941 to the late Charles Edward Ward and Frances Marie Bowling Ward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Martin and one brother, Jack Ward.
    “Bud” was employed as a truck driver and owned and operated his own business. He was of the Free Will Baptist faith and was a member of the Tennessee National Guard.
    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of fifty five years, Wanda Sue Little Ward, of the home; his son, Charles “Buddy” Earl Ward, Jr. and wife Sue, Elizabethton; three daughters, Donna Gale Laws and husband Harvey, Elizabethton, Teresa Dupkoski and husband Melvin, Bulls Gap, and Genna Sue Price and husband Louie, Elizabethton; ten grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew and wife Krystal, Joseph and Tashia Dupkoski, Tagan Hamm and husband Bryan, Tara Bolson and husband Christopher, Justin and wife Marsha, Jason, Ambria and Jasmine Price; five great grandchildren, Abigail and Ariana Hamm, Aiden Bolson, Autumn and Marcus Mauk; one brother, Bobby Ward, of Elizabethton; and his special friend, Sara Amador.     A service to honor the life of Mr. Charles “Bud’ Earl Ward, Sr. will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Steve Waycaster and Pastor Larry Barr, officiating. A eulogy will be provided by his granddaughter, Tashia and a poem will be read by his granddaughter, Tara. Special music will be provided by his grandsons, Justin and Jason. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Tuesday; or at the residence at any time.

    Jack Wayne Ward, 69, of Johnson City, unexpectedly passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 14, 2012. He was the son of the late Charles and Frances Bowling Ward and was born in Carter County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Martin.
    Ward went to school at Valley Forge Elementary School and graduated from Hampton High School. He was self employed and owned Ward Development for the past forty-seven years. He was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church.
    Although Jack had accomplished enormous heights in his career as a builder/developer, he was best known for his generous nature. He put his talents to work building a church parsonage for River of Life and renovating Valley View Baptist Church and Greater Anointing Assembly of God. He last worked very hard to give the youth of Oak Street Baptist Church a beautiful, special place to worship God. He was an avid supporter of It's All About the Children, a foundation in Kampala, Uganda dedicated to providing both the special and material needs of the children of Uganda. He worked with Operation Christmas Child every year and each year he was able to increase his support for the organization because God blessed him above and beyond all he could have ever dreamed! His development of Copper Hill Patio Homes, Goose Creek Resort in Pigeon Forge and Raccoon Ridge Cottages in Johnson City were a great source of pride for him. He retired his business, Ward Development, in 2010 so he could give more time to his family and his furniture design and building business. Jack's talents were countless, his heart as big as the moon, and his love of Jesus Christ and of his family made his world complete.
    The funeral service for Mr. Ward will be conducted on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, Elizabethton with Pastor Curtis Hurt officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mike Presnell. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5:30 to 7:00 PM on Thursday prior to the service and at the home at other times.
    The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Happy Valley Memorial Park.

    Howard Evans Brad-shaw, age 80, of Eliz-a-beth-ton, passed away at home, with his daugh-ter at his side, on Mon-day, March 30, 2015.
    He was the el-dest son of the late Samuel Jack-son and Gla-dys Marie Brad-shaw. He was the grand-son of the late Min-nie Mar-tin and he loved her dearly.
    In ad-di-tion to his par-ents and grand-mother, he was pre-ceded in death by the love of his life, Vir-gie Keplinger Brad-shaw; his close friend and brother-in-law Shelby Wil-liams,
    Know-ing they will see him again are his daugh-ter, Ther-ese Brad-shaw; his sis-ters, Doris Love-lace, Linda Wil-liams and Bar-bara "Bob-bie" Brad-shaw; and his brother Ce-cil Darold "Nick" Brad-shaw. His father Jack once said that the one thing he was proud-est most of was that his chil-dren loved one an-other. Their sense of love is strong and shows through-out the fam-ily.
    He was "Un-cle Smokey" to his name-sake, the late Ce-cil Howard Brad-shaw, and to three neph-ews and three nieces and their fam-i-lies, all of which loved him tre-men-dously and he loved as his own.
    A spe-cial lit-tle buddy, Nicho-las Daniel Brad-shaw, brought love, light and laugh-ter into his life with ev-ery visit.
    He had friends from all walks of life that he trea-sured. To name them all would be a feat. Just know that he loved each of you un-con-di-tion-ally and the mark you made on his life is im-mea-sur-able.
    He was a proud re-tiree of NFS, where he made many of the good friends that he en-joyed through-out his life.
    He loved the moun-tains and riv-ers and spent much of his time hunt-ing and fish-ing. He loved base-ball and foot-ball. He loved his gar-dens, found plea-sure in watch-ing them grow and shar-ing the har-vest.
    The fam-ily would like to ex-press true ap-pre-ci-a-tion to Don Tit-tle, Ron-nie Keplinger and Mike Nel-son, three of his clos-est friends whose com-pan-ion-ship and sup-port meant the world to him.
    To honor his spo-ken wishes, there will be a pri-vate me-mo-rial for his fam-ily. A cel-e-bra-tion of life will be held for friends by the fam-ily at a later date in the Cat Island Park.

She was a daughter of the late Samuel Jackson "Jack" and Gladys Marie Ball Bradshaw and was born in Elizabethton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard "Smokey Joe" Bradshaw; a nephew, Cecil Howard Bradshaw; and a special brother-in-law, Shelby E. Williams.
    Ms. Bradshaw retired from the dietary department of Life Care Center of Elizabethton at the age of 74. She loved to read, listen to music and was interested in the UT Vols and Lady Vols sports teams. She enjoyed taking care of her nieces and nephews and was a member of Beck Mountain Baptist Church.
    Those left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Doris Lovelace and Linda Faye Williams, both of Elizabethton; a brother, Rev. Cecil D. "Nick" Bradshaw, Elizabethton; and a special niece, Therese Bradshaw, Elizabethton, with whom she made her home. Several other nieces and nephews also survive.
    A graveside service for Barbara "Bobbie" Bradshaw will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 8, in the Highland Cemetery with Rev. Cecil D. "Nick" Bradshaw and Rev.     Reverend Cecil Darold “Nick” Bradshaw began his new life in the presence of his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the age of 79. Nick was a lifelong resident of Elizabethton, born to the late Samuel Jackson “Jack” Bradshaw and Marie (Ball) Bradshaw. Nick was also preceded in death by a beloved son, Cecil Howard Bradshaw; a brother, Howard Bradshaw; and two sisters, Doris Lovelace and Barbara Bradshaw. To know Nick was to love him and he was loved by so many! Nick ministered at Little Milligan Baptist Church for 15 years and loved his church family and the Lord. In his spare time, you could find Nick fishing, hunting, and socializing everywhere he went. He was a light in so many lives and he loved sharing the love and word of God with each person he could. His greatest joy was time spent with his family and the memories he created will live on within them. Nick was also a retired veteran, having served 21 years in the Army National Guard. Nick leaves behind his cherished wife of 56 years, Vickie Davenport Bradshaw; two wonderful and devoted sons, John (Lisa) Bradshaw of Johnson City and SFC (R) Robert (Mandie) Bradshaw of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, whom he adored, Autumn Bradshaw and Nicholas Bradshaw, both of Elizabethton; and his sister, Linda (Shelby) Williams of Elizabethton. Nick also leaves several nieces and nephews, as well as many friends, neighbors, and church family to cherish his memory. A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Reverend Nick Bradshaw will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Blvd., Mountain Home, TN 37684) with Pastor James Richardson officiating. Military Honors will be accorded at the graveside. All of Nick’s close friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
