    It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Ronald Clark, 82, of Charlotte, NC on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

    David was born April 12, 1940, in Avery County NC to the late Walter and Madge Duckworth Clark. He was married to Rita Whittington Clark. David and Rita celebrated 61 years of marriage June 3, 2022.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Ronald Keith Clark and great grandson Frederic Myers.

    He graduated from Newland High School in 1958.

    David was in the US Army 1961-1963. He then worked for 30 years at AG Boone Company with over a million miles of safe accident-free driving. He also worked in ground maintenance and landscaping at Charlotte Country Day School. He was a member of Gold Hill Road Church of Christ, Fort Mill SC.

    David is loved and survived by his wife, Rita Whittington Clark; his son, Scott Clark; daughters: Karen (Chris) Hardin, Sherry (David) Myers, Tammy (David) Privitera; grandchildren: Jason (Kate) Hardin, Brooke (Adam) Maples, Josh Hardin, Erin Myers, James Myers, Jaren Clark, Abby Clark, Lauren (Thomas) Billman, Emma Privitera and Evan Privitera; great grandchildren Aiden Gardner Clark and Evelyn Hardin; sister Jean Page, sister-in-law Betty Clark, sister-in-law Juanita (Bud) Puett, many nieces, nephews and their families and numerous lifelong friends.
