    Notes:

    Juanita Greene Vance, 77, of Minneapolis, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home.

    A native of Avery County, she was a daughter of the late Spurgeon Jesse and Artie Bell Johnson Greene. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Mack Greene, Joe Greene, and Donald Greene; and sisters, Barbara Ann Duncan, Willa Mae Buchanan and Martha Hicks.

    Juanita loved the Lord and enjoyed listening to gospel music, especially the Primitive Quartet. She loved being outdoors, her flowers, gardening and cooking, but mostly loved spending time with her family.

    Surviving are her children, Kelly Vance Gragg and husband, Doug, of Newland and Scottie Dean Vance and wife, Monica, of Burnsville; brother, Gary Greene of Newland; grandchildren, Karmen Birchfield and husband, Colby and Matt Vance; step-grandchildren, Somer Ray and husband, Jason and Abby Robinson and husband, Charlie; ten great-grandchildren; the father of her children, Harold Vance of Minneapolis; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

    The family will have a private family viewing at Johnson Chapel on Squirrel Creek prior to a private graveside service in the Cranberry Cemetery. Rev. Doug Bare will officiate.
