    Mr. Cecil Maupin, 79, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at his residence.

    Mr. Maupin was a native of Watauga County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Charles Ernest and Maymie Eggers Maupin.

    Mr. Maupin retired from Bolton Block after fifty-four years of service. He was a member of the King Springs Baptist Church.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua Maupin; one great granddaughter, Carly Raiyne Nickles.

    Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Barbara Perry Maupin; four daughters, Kathy Brown and her husband Berney, Nancy Gardner and her husband RJ, Letha Jones and her husband Jeff, and Karen Williams and her husband Shona; five sons, Charles Cecil "Chummy" Maupin, Jr. and his wife Carol, Jimmy Maupin and his wife Beverly, Timmy Maupin and his wife Leanne, Kevin Maupin and his wife Tina, and Scotty Maupin and his wife Melissa; seven sisters, Bonnie Campbell and her husband George, Annie Maupin, Betty Ferguson and her husband Carl, Lillian Oliver and the late Wayne Oliver, Margie Barry and her husband James, Louise Thompson and her husband Richard, and Viola Verran and her friend Clayton Campbell; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.

    The family would like to express a special thank you to Teresa, Nonie, and the Caris Health Care for all the wonderful care given to Mr. Maupin and his family.

    The family of Mr. Cecil Maupin will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8:30 PM with Rev. Jerry Cornett officiating. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday, in the Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    Anna Lou Maupin, age 81, of Johnson City, TN passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Waters on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Anna was the daughter of the late Earnest Maupin and Maymie Eggers Maupin.
    She was preceded in passing by her brother, Cecil Maupin; brothers-in-law, George Campbell, Carl Ferguson, and Wayne Oliver, and a special friend Clayton Campbell.
    Anna was a member of the Rich Acres F.W.B. Church. She loved her church family and listening to gospel music. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
    Anna is survived by sisters; Bonnie Campbell, Lillian Oliver, Betty Ferguson, Louise Thompson (Richard), Margie Barry (Jim) and Viola Verran, and a very special friend; Clark Verran. Several Nieces and Nephews also remain to cherish Anna’s memory.
    A visitation for Anna will be held Saturday. November 28, 2020 from 12:00-1:00 pm in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services in Johnson City, TN.
    A Graveside Service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Johnson City, TN with Pastor Kenneth Grindstaff officiating. Pall bearers will be Johnathan Barry, Jason and Tyler Thompson, Johnny Ferguson, Cory and Andrew Walker, Matthew Conley, and Clark Verran.

    GRAY - Kathy Joan Brown, 65, of Gray Tennessee went to be with the lord at her home on Sunday January 1st, 2023.

    Kathy was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee in 1957. She attended King Springs Baptist Church. She loved working in her flowers, yard sales, decorating her home and she was a great cook. Kathy loved spending time with her family as well as her two cats Bella and Moosie.

    Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Maupin; father-in-law, Leeroy Brown; mother-in-law, Virginia France; sister-in-law, Beverly Maupin; nephew, Joshua Maupin and niece, Carly Maupin.

    Those left to cherish Kathy’s memory include her loving husband, Bernie Brown; mother, Barbara Maupin; son, Michael Brown and wife Missy; grandsons, Brandon and Colin Brown; sisters, Nancy Gardner and husband R.J., Letha Jones and husband Jeff, Karen Williams and husband Shona; brothers, Charles Maupin and wife Carol, Jimmy Maupin, Timmy Maupin and wife Leanne, Kevin Maupin and wife Tina, Scotty Maupin and wife Melissa; brother-in-law, Dennis Brown and wife Debbie as well as many nieces and nephews.

    The Brown family will receive friends from 6:00 pm til 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Tetrick Funeral Services 3001 Peoples Street, Johnson City, TN. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held for Kathy at Washington County Memory Gardens on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10:00 am. Services to be conducted by Pastor Luka Temaj.

    Pallbearers include: Brian Williams, Jesse Gardner, Cody Hill, Charlie Maupin, Ernie Maupin, Jimmy Maupin and Ricky Mosier.
